Mary stomped her feet again and again. "That was such a bad idea! It hurt Natalie, hurt you, and hurt Gale!"
"Okay, don't talk about it, now... the most urgent thing now is to think about how to keep Natalie safe!"
This was the most important thing to Matthew.
"Wrong! The most important thing is for Natalie to undo the spell on Ms. Nicole, let her admit her mistakes and apologize, and ask Mr. and Mrs. Wood to forgive her!" Mary corrected him.
Matthew blushed and reprimanded, "Did you treat Natalie as a daughter?"
"Of course, I regard her as my daughter! I have taught her homework since she was a child! I want to save her because I still recognize her as a daughter!"
Mary's intention was to make Natalie stand upright and accept the beating, to bow her head to admit her mistakes, correct them, pay a heavy price, and repent.
However, Matthew's rescue was blindly eccentric!
"I don't think you recognize Natalie's daughter anymore! It was a lie to keep saying that you treated Natalie as if you were your own daughter!" Matthew snorted coldly.
"I never lied to you! Can't you see how I have treated Natalie all these years?"
"Who knows if you're acting or pretending?"
Mary shook her body violently. "It turns out that all these years, my cultivation and care of Natalie, in your eyes, are all acting..."
That was too hurtful.
Mary cared for her husband and child and worked hard to be a good housekeeper. Everyone in Sea City had always praised her as a good wife and a good mother.
Who knew...
Matthew's words negated her years of hard work!
"Dad, don't talk about Mom like that. She treats me...very well, I know that," Natalie said.
