Chapter 100
Xavier was in no mood to continue eating. He was too annoyed. How had he never realized how sharp- tongued Yvette was?
The sky outside had grown dark, and after a low rumble of thunder, lightning flashed in the sky.
Yvette turned on her phone to see that it was already 8:00 p.m. Usually, she would call Viola at this time and also check in on Zachary.
A tall figure blocked the light in front of her. Xavier had suddenly appeared behind her. “What are your looking at?”
Yvette immediately put her phone away and turned back to look at him. Xavier’s complexion looked much better, but his eyes were still sharp.
“Have you finished eating? Can I go home now?”
“Why are you in such a rush to get back? Did Claude contact you?” Xavier asked in a measured tone..
Yvette felt like he was hinting at something. “What do you mean by that?
He was speaking so strangely today. Why did he keep mentioning Claude? At that moment, Yvette’s phone rang. She glanced at it and saw that it was Claude calling.
She panicked, but Xavier was very calm. “I’ll give you five minutes. Come back as soon as you’ve taken the call.”
Yvette immediately took her phone outside. She only picked up when she saw that there were no people or cameras nearby,
“Hello?”
“Yvette, Noah’s been taken by Xavier’s men.”
Claude’s words made her feel as if she had been struck by lightning. She finally understood what Xavier had been referring to.
“What do you mean? Why would Xavier take Noah?
“When did he find out about him?
“Does he know who Noah is?
“Oh, what about Zac? Is Zac alright?
She was panicking. It had all happened so suddenly. She hadn’t expected Xavier to find out about Noah so quickly.
“Don’t worry. Once I’ve taken care of things here, come back at once.”
Claude said, “You’ve got to stay calm. Xavier probably doesn’t know about Noah’s identity yet. Even if he does, Noah is his child. He would never hurt his own child. Don’t be afraid.”
Yvette could not calm down at all. Huge raindrops splashed onto her face. When she hung up, she

was still trembling.
Yvette stood in the rain for a long time before she could finally calm down. She walked back to the
villa.
Xavier’s tall figure stood in the distance, and he held a glass of wine in his slender fingers.
“Didn’t I say five minutes?” He looked at Yvette and realized that she was drenched. She looked as if
she had lost her soul.
Claude must have told her about Noah. Xavier downed the wine in his glass and put it down. He picked up a towel and walked over to her.
“Don’t you know how to stay out of the rain? How have you survived abroad over the past few
years?”
His eyes were dark as he began rubbing her hair dry. He couldn’t believe what he was doing, but he did
it anyway.
Yvette was as pale as a sheet. Her fists clenched slightly. “Where did you take the child?”
