Chapter 121
What Daphne said really affected Xavier because of Noah, who was supposedly Yvette and Claude’s
son.
When he got out of the building, he saw Yvette talking to Quentin. After Quentin walked quickly approached her.
away, he
“Are you done here? Shall we go back now?” Yvette spoke normally, but it didn’t sound the same to Xavier anymore.
It felt like his stomach was burning, but he still looked sober. “Yeah.” He looked deep into her eyes and asked, “When did you start talking to Quentin?”
Quentin was a quiet guy. Even when he went out with his friends to have some fun, he would always stay silent. Other than Yvette, Xavier had never seen him talking to another woman before.
“He called out to me first, and I didn’t say anything to him.” When Xavier heard that, he stopped prying.
After he led Yvette to get into the car, he got in as well.
Yvette thought it was weird. After all, he had drunk a lot of wine that night, and the wine had been tampered with as well. She didn’t understand how he was still sober.
Only Xavier knew how awful he felt at that moment. He frustratedly undid his tie and leaned back against the seat.
He could smell the fragrance coming out of Yvette’s body from the side.
She slowly realized something was wrong with, him and figured the drug was kicking in. An ideal popped into her head, and she fell toward him and landed on his body. That made him groan a little “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that.” As she apologized, she purposely took her time to get up.
When the driver accelerated the car, she pretended to have lost her balance and fell on him again.
Xavier narrowed his eyes and looked at the woman on his legs. Then, he said with a dry voice, “Was that not on purpose as well?”
She pretended to only realiz
what was going on and quickly got up. Then, her face turned red.
She knew she couldn’t rush things, so she said, “Well my hands were injured. I accidentally put pressure on them just now, and that’s why…” She paused for a moment and moved her gaze away. I’m sorry.”
Xavier noticed how shy she looked and had the urge to tell the driver to get out of the car. However, he held back his urge.
He wasn’t in a rush to do anything before finding out what she was up to. After all, he had been waiting for a few years now.
When they had finally arrived at Dewberry Manor, Xavier quickly got out of the car and walked in front. Yvette looked at the seemingly calm man, feeling rather impressed by him. He clearly couldn’t hold

back anymore, but he still hadn’t reacted when she had thrown herself at him.
But she didn’t believe he could continue to resist her the entire night.
Yvette picked up her pace and grabbed his sleeve after entering the house. “Xavier.”
He turned back to look at her. She slowly placed her hands on his arms. Then, she stood on her toes, planning to kiss him.
