Chapter 150
After Daphne hung up, she picked up her phone again and sent Andy her location.
Back at the manor, Kiki removed a hidden camera from nearby.
“You truly are the best, Yvvy. You knew she wouldn’t make a public apology. That’s why you asked me to record her apology.”
She played the video recording on her phone. It documented Daphne’s confession, as well as her attempts to bribe Kiki.
“I know her too well. It looks as if she is able to adapt to her circumstances, but she does it all for her own personal gain. Unless she has no other option, she will never choose publicly apologize.”
“I’ll upload the video immediately.” Kiki was extremely excited.
However, Yvette stopped her. “Don’t. There’s no rush. I don’t think this is the right time.”
Daphne was at the peak of her popularity right now. Even if they posted the video online, the best it could do was hurt her reputation. If they didn’t execute it properly, Kiki might receive backlash as well.
“Anything you say.” Kiki understood Yvette’s concerns.
Yvette was just about to decide on her next course of action when her phone started ringing. Upon checking, she realized that it was a call from Claude.
“I’m boarding soon, Yvvy. I’ll land in Tirion at 11:00 pm tonight,” His attractive voice rang out from the phone.
“Okay.”
11:00.0m 11:00 pm….
She wasn’t sure if she could pick him up.
On the other end, Claude was gripping his phone and staring at the blue sky. “Tomorrow’s your birthday. right?”
She froze–she had almost forgotten her own birthday.
Yara had considered Yvette’s birth a misfortune. Hence, ever since Yvette had moved back in with the Snyders in Tirion, she had never celebrated her birthday
After she had married Xavier, she had spent her birthdays alone. As time had passed, she had ended up not celebrating anymore.
“Yeah.
“I’ll spend it with you tonight,” he said.
Yvette thought about it before responding. “Sure. I’ll come pick you up tonight. I’m staying at a friend’s place today.”
Upon hearing that, Claude couldn’t help but ask, “Would that inconvenience your friend?”
Yvette looked toward Kiki, who had been listening in. The latter swiftly shook her head. “Not at all. He can

come.”
In the last four years, Kiki had only seen Claude from a distance a handful of times. She just thought he was exceptionally good–looking. If she had to describe him, she would probably call him the male version
of a temptress.
“She said it’s okay and asked you to come.”
“Alright then. I need to go now. See you tonight.”
Once Claude hung up the phone, a smile subconsciously made its way toward his face.
A doctor checked on his wound when he boarded the plane. “You must be careful not to carry out any strenuous activities. Be extremely cautious when you get back to Tirion. If not, the wound might reopen and lead to an infection.”
“Will do.”
