Yvette couldn’t believe that her love for him, which spanned so many years, was being described as 

worthless“. 

She had never felt cheaper than this. 

“You’re right. I do think it’s worthless now.” 

The veins on Xavier’s forehead bulged, and his eyes reddened as he pressed her head against his chest. 

Yvette took deep breaths, feeling like she was suffocating. 

Wanting to hear her apologize, Xavier refused to let her go. But Yvette was stubborn and refused to do it. 

Once she decided that she liked someone, she wouldn’t turn back even if she hit a wall. Similarly, now that she had made up her mind, she wouldn’t apologize easily. 

Yvette’s health wasn’t good to begin with. Xavier’s actions made her breathing gradually weaken.
