Yvette looked up at Xavier in disbelief. He wasn’t angry. Instead, he just looked at her and slowly said, ” Now, tell me. What do you want?” 

They were close to each other as she looked into his complicated gaze and lied, “I was just upset and wanted to have you for once.” 

She lied to him again! 

Xavier pulled her head into his embrace and chuckled softly. Then, his eyes became teary. “You got what you wanted. Now, what? Are you going to leave me again?” 

His large hands held her tightly, making her feel like her shoulders were about to break. “I-” 

Before she could say anything else, he interrupted her. “Believe it or not, you’ll never be able to leave Tirion without my permission!” 

She trembled slightly. “I’ve promised that I would pay you back everything before I leave. Besides, Noah’s still here, isn’t he?” 

“Where will you get so much money?” he asked. 

Although he knew that she was a famous composer abroad, she wouldn’t be able to gather the amount he had requested in such a short time. 

“I’ll work hard to earn it myself.” Yvette hesitated for a while. Then, she looked up from his embrace and said to him, “I definitely won’t take advantage of you.” 

However, Xavier got even angrier, and he tightened his grip. 

She frowned. “It hurts.” He immediately loosened his grip upon hearing that. 

Then, Yvette tidied the blanket and got up. “I’m getting up first.” 

She wanted to put on her clothes, but she realized the clothes on the floor were either torn into pieces or tangled up with Xavier’s clothes. 

So, she could only wrap herself in a thin layer of blanket to get out of bed. Before she could even take a step, Xavier pulled her into his arms again. 

“What’s the rush?” He gulped slightly and said, “Didn’t you say you wanted to be a real couple with me? Then, we could hold hands, hug, and kiss…” 

Yvette didn’t know why he would suddenly talk about that. She had been too naïve back then. He had been her first love and crush. She had even ended up marrying him. 

So, it made sense that she had wanted to do everything a couple would do with him. She had even thought about having a child with him and growing old together. 

However, after going through so much, she had given up hope a long time ago. 

“I’m scared to ask for those things,” she answered. She wasn’t really scared. She just didn’t want it 

anymore. 

Xavier saw right through her, and it felt like something was stuck in his throat. “But I want to try it with you now.”
