Chapter 209
Xavier had changed into a fresh set of clothes by now. He sat straight on the couch; there was no space for him to rest his long legs. His short hair was still damp, and his facial features were well–defined. There was a complicated look in his eyes. “I took the door apart,” he calmly said.
Yvette tightened the bathrobe she was wearing. “Get out.”
However, it didn’t look like he was planning to leave at all. He got up and approached her.
“Why in the world are you angry?” He hadn’t gotten to the bottom of the situation yet, and he
wanted her to tell him herself.
Yvette couldn’t be bothered by him. “There’s no reason. Please get out. I want to change.”
Xavier stood still. “It’s not like I’ve never seen you naked before.”
She blushed in embarrassment instantly. Since she had no other choice, she could only get changed with her back facing him. Xavier sat back on the couch and stared at her back. His
throat started to feel warm.
Soon, he realized he was reacting to the situation, and he quickly retracted his gaze. He took his phone out to see if the bodyguard was done with his task.
As expected, the bodyguard sent in a message soon after that.
“Mr. Lane, we’ve managed to get the housekeepers to talk after using some unconventional methods. They said Lynn was the one who humiliated Ms. Snyder first.
“She also threatened Ms. Snyder and said she would tell Mr. Lane Senior about it so that he would kick Ms. Snyder out. That was when Ms. Snyder left the mansion.”
As Xavier read the message silently, the air around him turned cold. Then, he typed out a message. “Bring her here.”
After sending it, he turned his phone off and looked at Yvette again. She was already done changing. “Why didn’t you tell me right away?”
He didn’t know a housekeeper would dare to kick his wife out of the house!
Yvette Jooked at his face and asked, “If I had, would you have believed me?”
Xavier’s heart skipped a beat. Then, Yvette calmly continued, “Regardless of whether you would have believed me or not, I doubt you would have done anything for me.
“If it hadn’t been for you, she wouldn’t have dared to humiliate me or threaten me. She isn’t the only one. Not a single person in the Lane family has ever treated me as Mrs. Lane.
“Like you, all of them treat me like a deaf scammer who’s clinging to you for power and

wealth.”
Yvette spoke her mind, not caring whether Xavier would get angry. She had already gotten his semen and the map of Fortian Manor.
