Xavier stood tall under a tree by the entrance. Although he couldn't see anything, his bodyguard had already told him that Yvette and Aaron had arrived.
Yvette glanced at him and stopped in her tracks. Then, she stood in front of Aaron, hoping to prevent any trouble. "I'm here. You should head back now."
Aaron nodded when he heard that. "Sure. See you next time."
His car silently approached them. She watched him get in the car before entering the hospital.
When she finally stood in front of Xavier, she asked, "Can I see Noah now?"
There was no obvious emotion on his cold side profile. "He's been asleep for a while now," he coldly replied.
Yvette looked at her phone and realized it was already 10:00 pm. She had been too focused when talking about the music with Aaron, and she had forgotten about the time.
"Alright. I'll see him tomorrow."
When Xavier heard that, he grabbed her arm. "Do you really care about him, or is this all an act?"
Yvette clenched her fists. "What do you mean by that?"
"You know what I mean." Then, he walked past her.
She stood in place and was confused. She had no idea what was wrong with him this time. Not only did he stop her from seeing Noah, but he was also asking if she truly cared about her own son.
Why wouldn't she care about Noah when she'd done her best to raise him?
Yvette didn't want to argue with him, so she returned to the hospital to get some rest. She planned on seeing Noah the next early morning.
…
Malcolm was staying in the ward next to Noah, and he finally recovered after receiving treatment for a day.
