In the living room, Zoey sat on the couch with Emily and Emma sitting across from her.
"Grandma, why did you suddenly come without telling me?" James asked expressionlessly.
There was a kind smile on Zoey's face, "You didn't come to see me, so I had to come over to see you. You think I'm too old and useless, so you don't want to see me?"
Kara noticed that although Madam Hemming had a kind smile on her face, she sounded a little harsh.
Because of her fear of Linda, she was also afraid of approaching Zoey.
Kara sat down beside James, who gestured for her to pour Zoey a cup of tea as he led her to the couch. She then poured three cups of tea nicely.
"Grandma, if you miss me, you can call me. I'll bring Kara to see you."
James expressionlessly brought the tea Kara poured to Zoey and Emily, then he gave the last cup of tea to Kara, and finally, he poured a cup of tea for himself.
She originally poured that cup of tea for him. Seeing that he gave her that cup of tea, Kara looked at him in amazement.
However, James gave her a reassuring look and signaled her to drink tea quickly.
Kara nodded, held her teacup, and took a small sip. Then, she sat down beside him.
She was as obedient as a kitten beside him.
Zoey watched their interaction carefully. She could see that they were close. It was obvious that they had feelings for each other.
Today, she deliberately took advantage of his absence and went upstairs to check. When she found that they didn't sleep together, she was instantly furious.
It was rumored that James liked men, which was why she forced him to get engaged. She just wanted to find a woman to give him a child.
Now he finally got engaged, but they slept separately.
In that case, how could Kara give her a great-grandchild?
"I brought Emma here today to apologize to Kara." Emily held her teacup but didn't drink the tea. She looked at Emma behind her instead.
Emma was indignant, but when she thought of her mother's threat, she reluctantly took two steps forward.
"James, I'm sorry. It was my fault last time. Sorry."
James looked indifferent and his eyes were cold. He continued to drink his tea as if he had not heard her voice.
"James, Emma is still young and thoughtless." Emily laughed lightly, her face a little stiff.
James was a cold-blooded and heartless person. They bullied Kara, and he would never let it go.
Emily was also helpless. Otherwise, she wouldn't condescend herself and bring her daughter to apologize.
Although she was James' aunt, James had little respect for her. When his mother died, she played a major role!
"Emma is three months older than Kara." James mocked.
Just because she was young, she could bully Kara?
When did he become so nice in Emily's eyes?
"Yeah, Kara is even younger than Emma!" Emily signaled Emma to apologize to Kara quickly.
Emma gritted her teeth in anger and glared at Kara fiercely. Knowing what her mother meant, she took a deep breath.
"Kara, it was just a joke last time. I didn't mean to borrow your money. Please forgive me!"
Kara didn't expect Emma to apologize, but looking at her reluctant face, she raised an eyebrow slightly.
"I don't mind."
