Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife novel Chapter 161

James finished his suitcase and Nolan immediately took it away.

After Nolan left the room, James turned to look at the little girl in the covers. Her cheeks were red and she was too shy to look at him.

Just now, he was a little out of control and untied her clothes. She heard Nolan's footsteps. After escaping from his arms, she hid under the covers.

He looked down and kissed her on the forehead. "Be good and wait for me to come back."

"Okay."

Kara nodded. His kiss was gentle and affectionate. She felt as if she were caught in a fine, dense net.

Her heart raced like a mischievous deer. She had lost her heart to him.

She quickly lowered her head to hide her emotions, nervously tugging at the quilt.

Only after hearing his footsteps did she dare to throw back the covers and breathe, her fair face all red.

But his faint mint scent still lingered on her nose. She thought it was her hallucination. She exhaled deeply again. Only then did she remember that she was on his bed. She jumped up quickly.

When Kara arrived at the studio, she still felt that faint mint scent all over her, even though she had changed into a different dress.

"What's wrong? Is anything wrong with your nose?" Donald noticed that she kept rubbing her nose and the tip of her nose was red.

Kara was confused.

She took out her phone and saw her red nose from the screen. Only then did she realize that she had subconsciously rubbed her nose.

"No, I just smelled something strange."

She sniffed her dress again. Something flashed through her mind and her face turned red again.

This pink dress was hung with her pajamas. She slept in his arms every day, so she must have his scent on her.

Moreover, the pajamas were very strange. It was dry at night, but when she got changed the next day, she would always find it wet in some places, so she had never worn it again.

Kara lowered her head in thought, blushing.

"You can take time off to rest if you don't feel well." Donald was worried about her.

"I'm fine. It's my turn to go to the drawing hall today." Kara hurriedly shook her head.

The drawing hall next to the studio would be used for exhibitions when needed, and would normally display some of Larry's paintings from his collection. Occasionally, he would put some of his students' outstanding paintings in it.

Some people would come to the exhibitions. Occasionally, there would be someone who liked the paintings of the students and offered to buy them.

The paintings that could be put next to the paintings of some masters were certainly not bad. Moreover, the price of the works bought from Larry was certainly not low.

It required two students per day to work in the drawing hall. Today it was Kara's turn and she was quite excited.

"It's your first time on duty. Let Jeffery take you there." Donald called Jeffery in and asked him to take her to change into the uniform of the drawing hall.

Jeffery gave her the introduction to some of the works first and asked her to memorize them. She must memorize them because some visitors needed the presentation.

Kara looked at the introduction in her hand and the corners of her mouth twitched.

She recited it quietly when there were few people.

The door of the drawing hall opened and four teenagers walked in. Kara stopped reciting and stood up straight.

"Hey, you, tell me about this painting."

Kara frowned slightly at his words. Then, she smiled and walked to the painting, thinking about what she had just recited, and began to explain.

She had a few pauses in the middle because she wasn't very familiar with it.

"As a staff member, you are so unprofessional. Get the curator here. I'm going to ask him what he was thinking when he hired a woman like you," a teenager wearing light blue sportswear sneered.

Kara pursed her lips and patiently explained, "I'm sorry. I'm here for an internship. I will try my best in the future. I'll ask my senior to explain it to you. My senior is very professional."

"We were in a good mood to see the paintings. Now our good mood is spoiled by your awful voice. How are you going to compensate us?"
