Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife novel Chapter 203

Kathleen Quain was so unlucky to meet the master craftsman who carved this jade.

"Nonsense! This belongs to the Quains. How could it belong to the Abbot's?" Kathleen argued loudly.

It was a typical bluff.

The master craftsman frowned, and took the magnifying glass to check the jade, finding that there was an extremely small groove at the top of the jade pendant.

There were also words engraved in the groove, so he was more convinced that this was the jade he had carved back then.

"It is obvious that this belongs to the Abbots. When did it become something that belongs to the Quains? Little girl, this is the evidence!"

The master craftsman sent the jade pendant to the boss and let the boss look at that special sign.

Generally, things that represented the family would have a special mark. The boss had a look and recognized that this piece of jade belonged to the Abbots.

The boss called his staff over and gave a few instructions to the staff. The staff nodded, and gave a look at Kathleen, and turned away.

"Lady, your family name is Quain, but this obviously belongs to the Abbots. What is your explanation if it isn't stolen by you?" The boss pinched the jade with a mocking expression.

"If you don't make it clear today, I'll call the police to handle this matter!"

Sophia Green was afraid and immediately begged for mercy, "Don't call the police, there are some misunderstandings. The fact is that my eldest brother married the younger daughter of the Abbots, but she died early. Consequently, her things naturally belong to the Quains.

"Now I am forced to exchange for some money through it. When we have money, we will definitely redeem it."

The boss raised his eyebrows. And he had heard of it in that this matter had caused a lot of commotion at that time.

"It is supported that Veronica Copper has another daughter. As for such an important thing, she should bequeath to her daughter normally. Why is it in your hands?"

Kathleen was annoyed by the boss. "If you want this piece of jade, I'll give it to you at a cheaper price of 800, 000. If you can't afford 800, 000, I'll go to other pawnshops."

"Heh, since this isn't yours, why should I give you the money?" The boss mocked.

"So what do you mean?"

Kathleen felt that things had gone out of control, and she had a very bad foreboding. She was eager to get the jade back and quickly left here.

However, the jade was in the hands of the boss. She snatched it once, but failed, and she could only glare at him resentfully.

"I am unwilling to make a deal with you now, if you don't return the jade to me, I'll call the police!"

"Well, we can actually call the police to help this jade find the real owner," The boss sneered.

This jade is dubious, so Kathleen wouldn't call the police. Calling the police is just a way to threaten the boss to return the jade to her.

However, the boss's hatred is beyond her imagination. He plans to call the police.

"You, you can't call the police. Four hundred thousand, it is the lowest price." Kathleen gritted her teeth and said.

"It is true that this jade is ours," Sophia said nearby, stopping the boss from calling the police.

The boss shook his head. "If you want me to accept this jade, you have to explain the origin of it. Otherwise, I won't accept it!"

Kathleen and Sophia widened their eyes in surprise. It was really beyond their expectation to meet such an unreasonable person.

"Don't care about other things. The jade has nothing to do with you. Now I want to pawn it. Give me the money and this jade will be yours."

Kathleen believed that this boss definitely wants to lower the price, so he was deliberately making trouble.

Actually, the boss didn't think so. He just worries whether the jade is identified or not. If some rich and powerful people came to investigate the jade, he must be responsible for it, so he dare not to take it.

The staff who just went out came back in a hurry and said something to the boss. The boss' expression changed and glared at Kathleen fiercely.

"Miss, it turns out that you stole this jade!"

"What are you talking about? Is this what you call taking something from my own house?"
