Chapter 135 Preparing To Brainwash Annalise Barton,
It was noon. When Annalise Barton rushed to Room Number 1888 of the Duke Horington Mansion, Kent Barton was already there. Seeing that Annalise came alone, Kent was very pleased. He felt that Annalise was still quite sensible.
Thinking of his next goal, he immediately greeted Annalise with a smile. “Anna, you’re here. Have a seat, have a seat quickly!” He personally pulled out a chair from the dining table and poured a cup of tea for Annalise before pressing the service bell.
The waiter immediately came over. Kent instructed, “My niece is here. You can serve the dishes now.” He knew that Annalise lacked love in her heart. He had to play the family card well, so he kept talking about his niece.
“Uncle Kent, you can talk about my father now,” Annalise said. “Anna, this matter is rather complicated. Let’s talk while we eat. You’ve grown up now. Uncle won’t hide it from you I will tell you everything I know,” said Kent.
“Thank you!” Annalise thanked him. She was grateful that he could tell her about her father, but the shares were a separate issue. It was impossible to use this secret in exchange for her shares!
Annalise did want to know about her father, but this was not a bargaining chip. If Uncle Kent was willing to tell, he could tell. If he were unwilling to tell, she would not use anything in exchange for the information.
“Silly girl. I’m your biological uncle. You don’t have to be polite with your uncle.” Kent was still smiling widely. There was also fatherly love in his smile, just like an uncle who doted on his niece.
Annalise thought to herself that if Kent had been pretending since the beginning when he brought her to live with the Barton family, she might really have believed him. However, it was useless now, no matter how well he pretended.
The waiter began to serve the dishes. Kent personally pushed all of Annalise’s favorite dishes to her and said with a smile, “Come, Anna. Eat while it’s hot. It’s autumn now, and the weather will turn cold quickly. It’ll rain in two days, and the temperature will drop by ten degrees.”
“Okay.” Annalise picked up her chopsticks and started eating. “Anna, did you and Julian arrive in the morning? Or did you arrive last night?” Kent did not mention anything about Annalise’s father.
“I arrived last night, Uncle Kent. You can tell me about my biological father now,” Annalise said. Kent forced a smile and picked up some food for Annalise. He said, “Your mother was 25 years old when she gave birth to you. It’s the most suitable age. Unfortunately, she and your father weren’t married.”
