Chapter 52 Defending His Wife

Annalise’s heart suddenly ached.

Then, she laughed heartlessly. “Haha, you don’t have to be so good to me! Don’t worry, I’ll definitely take good care of your grandpa.”

Annalise thought about it and felt that the reason why Julian was so good to her might be related to Samuel.

“I want to be good to you not because you helped grandpa, nor because you’re outstanding, but because you’re my wife!” Julian said.

He was moved by her because of what she said to Benjamin, during the first time he and Annalise met. “Even a 52-year-old cripple is cleaner than you!”

He admired her decisive personality. When Annalise encountered betrayal, instead of crying, she just turned around and left.

No matter how sad or dejected, even if her emotions were getting out of control, she would make the right decisions rationally.

The disdainful look she gave Benjamin made Julain feel that Annalise’s entire soul was clean.

Annalise felt the warmth of Julian’s finger. Listening to his words and seeing his eyes, her heart beat wildly again.

She immediately said, “Let’s go downstairs for a walk. I’ll go change first.”

She immediately took a T-shirt and a pair of jeans, quickly returning to the bedroom.

Julian looked at Annalise’s fleeing back and smiled again.

Annalise went to change her clothes. Julian also pushed open a cabinet door and changed into a T-shirt. When Annalise came out after changing her clothes, she felt that her look was too similar to Julian’s. “Let’s go. I’ll show you what grandpa planted,” Julian said.

“Your grandpa is growing vegetables?” Annalise’s eyes were filled with surprise.

She grew up in the countryside and had deep feelings for the land and farming.

The concept of farming was close and endearing to her.

“Yes,” Julian replied.

Annalise could not suppress his excitement. “Let’s have a look!”

The two of them went downstairs.

Julian introduced the building to Annalise. “That building is where Tony’s family of three lives. Over there, there’s Albert’s family. That’s Christopher, and that’s Cassandra’s… But they don’t usually live here.”

When Annalise heard about Tony’s family of three, her heart ached.

Every time she heard about Julian’s background, her heart ached a little. She didn’t know if she felt sorry for herself or for Julian.

This time, she took Julian’s hand and squeezed it to comfort him.

Julian’s lips suddenly curled into a smile. She held Annalise’s hand and introduced him all the way. “Grandpa was rich since young. He didn’t know how to grow vegetables growing up. However, grandma’s family background was not good. After grandma married grandpa, she saw that there was a big courtyard at home, so she started to grow vegetables. My grandparents were very close. Grandpa watched his wife grow vegetables and helped her grow them.
