Annalise’s heart suddenly trembled.

His concern was always accompanied by action.

He was unlike Benjamin, who had said to her after she repaired the car, “Baby, you’ve worked hard!”

“It’s fine. I’m good at sorting. I’ll be done in a while,” Annalise said.

“I’ll help, but I can’t really tell. Let me sort this fruit,” Julian said.

“This is a gardenia fruit, and this is a malva nut. Don’t get it wrong.” Annalise said with a smile.

Julian also smiled. “One is yellow and the other is brown. I can still tell the difference.”

“Haha!” Annalise could not help but laugh.

Julian also smiled. He was happy as long as she was happy.

What kind of magical feeling was this?

Annalise sorted them for a few minutes before adding wood to the fire. Then, she picked up the firewood that had burned out and placed it in the shovel. This was good charcoal that could be used for barbecue.

She put the charcoal on the grill.

After that, she continued to sort the medicinal ingredients.

After sorting most of them, she started setting up the clay pot.

The clay pot was heated on the stove for about two minutes. Just as Julian was worried that the clay pot would explode, Annalise put a medicinal ingredient into it.

Then, she squatted down and used the tongs to stoke the fire below. The fire burned very brightly. Crackling sounds came from the clay pot as if the medicinal ingredients had exploded inside.

Immediately after, there was a hissing sound, like water evaporating.

Julian thought that it was amazing.

Seeing how focused Annalise was, he did not dare to speak for fear of disturbing her.

After all, this was a method of brewing medicine he had never seen before.

Immediately after, Annalise added a lot of firewood to the stove. She sniffed the small hole of the clay pot and added two more types of medicinal ingredients into it.

She stoked the fire again and made it burn fiercely.

After that, she took out a pair of gloves from the pocket of her jeans and put it on, then picked up the clay pot and shook it like it was a sieve.

This went on for five minutes.

Julian was shocked but did not dare to make a sound.

He saw that Annalise’s face was as red as an apple. Beads of sweat dripped down her forehead, and her eyes were fixed intently on the clay pot as she focused. Her eyes were beautiful like black diamonds.

Annalise finally finished shaking the pot. She took off one glove and picked up the ginseng. With the other gloved hand, she lifted the lid of the pot and put the ginseng in. Then, she quickly added firewood.

She repeated this over and over again. Sometimes, she would add one medicinal ingredient, while other times she would add two or three medicinal ingredients. Every once in a while, Annalise would shake the pot. She shook it desperately until she was sweating profusely, but she did not care.

The weather was probably too hot so in just half an hour, Annalise’s T-shirt was completely soaked, and it stuck to her body.

Julian looked at this scene and felt desire burn in him.

He cursed himself for being a beast. His wife was working so hard to brew medicine for Samuel, yet he was actually thinking of sleeping with her.

He wanted to add more firewood to the fire, but Annalise refused. She asked him to barbecue and keep watch
