Unexpected Encounter with my Boss (Vincent and Tiffany) novel Chapter 101

"Yeah." Vincent glanced at the elevators. "Has Tiffany gone?"

"She's already left." Kelly felt rather unhappy.

"Okay. I've already found a caretaker for Grandma. There are a lot of people in the hospital, so you can go home if you think it's too noisy," Vincent said politely.

"I don't find it noisy. I'm just afraid that Mrs. Lewis Senior doesn't like having me around." Kelly lowered her eyes, sounding rather woeful.

Vincent frowned. "Grandma likes you now; don't overthink it."

"What about you, then?" Kelly looked up at him with a hopeful look in her eyes. "Do you like me?"

Vincent paused.

He didn't want to lie to Kelly when she was being so forthright, and he didn't think he needed to lie either. However, he was afraid that he would hurt her pride if he told the truth.

After all, he was the one who had made the mistake. He had brought her to live with them because he had wanted to compensate for his mistakes.

He had also thought that if he developed feelings, they could get to know each other more.

His feelings for her that night had been so strong, but unexpectedly, he hadn't had any such feelings for her since then. In fact, he felt much more strongly for Tiffany than he did for Kelly…

"I understand." Kelly looked disappointed, but she forced a smile. "Mr. Lewis, if you really dislike me that much, then there's no point for me to keep staying at the villa. I'll go home and pack up today, and then I'll move out."

"Kelly." Vincent called out to her. He hesitated for a moment before saying, "I'll spend time with you tonight."

No matter what, he still had to take responsibility, and he should give Kelly a chance.

Kelly turned in surprise, and the emotions in her eyes changed. She couldn't help smiling. "Really?"

"Yes." Vincent felt conflicted.

Kelly smiled sweetly. "I'll be waiting for you tonight."
