"Could that be her boyfriend?"
Ivy quickly grabbed her phone and started recording.
Meanwhile, Tiffany's face was flush with embarrassment. She glanced around and whispered to William, "Please let go! This is the office. Holding onto me like this isn't appropriate."
As William kept his grip on her, he looked at her earnestly. "Tiff, I've made up my mind. If you want to keep the baby, I'll take care of you both."
Tiffany, feeling more annoyed than grateful, couldn't believe what she was hearing. "William, I've told you. This is none of your business!"
She wrenched herself free from William's grasp and briskly turned to walk away.
But William's voice boomed from behind, "I've already shared it on campus forums. Now everyone knows you're pregnant with my baby."
His words reverberated through the entire hallway.
Tiffany paused, turning to him with a pale face. "William, are you kidding me?"
With a gentle demeanor, William reassured her, "I can't let you face this alone, Tiff. I'll be here for you, no matter what."
Tiffany couldn't believe William had the guts to come to the office and spout such nonsense. Without a word, she turned and walked away.
As she disappeared from view, William's whole demeanor seemed to deflate. He looked down at the lunch box in his hands with a sad smile. "Tiff, what can I do to win you back?"
"Hi," came a voice from beside him.
William looked up to see a stylishly dressed woman. She gave him a friendly smile.
"I'm Ivy, from Tiffany's department. Are you her… boyfriend?"
"Yeah," William replied with a smile.
