Chapter 183
He asked, “Granger, you busy?”
Granger replied, “Nope.”
Moran then remembered something. “Oh… right, you’re back on Tuesday?”
Granger paused for a moment before responding, “Yeah.”
Before Moran could say anything else, Granger quickly added, “Let’s leave it at that.”
“Alright, just hit me up when you’re back. I’ll come pick you up and we can check out Vesta together,” Moran offered.
Granger hesitated, then said, “…Sure.”
The next day.
Charlene got up, went for a 30–minute jog, had breakfast, and then headed out.
She arrived at the law firm to find Stewart already there.
Upon seeing her, Stewart waved.
Charlene sat down, and Mr. Padgett’s assistant served her coffee as she handed over the divorce agreement to Padgett.
Padgett took it from her.
Stewart and Padgett had been close friends for years, and Stewart leaned in closer to take a look.
When he saw the first clause about the custody of Jasmine, he glanced at Charlene.
Years ago, he had met Jasmine a few times.
Charlene treated her like her whole world, always talking about her daughter in every phone call.
But ever since she decided to divorce Thorne and go back to PrimeStar, she never brought up her daughter Jasmine in front of him again.
Considering this, he speculated that during the year Jasmine lived abroad with Thorne, she might have grown close to Vesta, possibly even doing something that deeply hurt Charlene.
Seeing that she only instructed the lawyer to look for loopholes in the property clauses of the agreement, without showing concern for the custody issue, Stewart understood that she was ready to let go of her daughter.
He pry further.
didn’t
In his eyes, Charlene was a kind–hearted and sentimental person.
The fact that she was willing to give up her own daughter meant she must have been deeply disillusioned.
Thinking this, Stewart didn’t dwell on it, instead moving on to the other sections of the agreement.
After a while, he raised an eyebrow, “All this real estate, wow, Thorne’s being quite generous.”
Charlene sipped her coffee, not responding.
Stewart casually flipped through the document, then stopped bothering Padgett and sat next to Charlene t chat about academic matters.
They discussed a small portion using terminologies only the two of them could understand, leaving Mr. Padgett’s assistant utterly confused.

Chapter 188:
As for Mr. Padgett, he was diligently going through the agreement with Charlene.
After more than an hour.
Padgett told Charlene, “I’ve checked it thoroughly, the agreement is indeed without issues. In fact, it’s quite favorable to you.”
Charlene paused, “What do you mean?”
“The cash goes without saying, and the real estate is clearly free from any disputes,” Padgett explained. “Regarding the shares Mr. Thorne is giving you from his company, it’s explicitly stated that you’re only responsible for collecting dividends. Should the company face any trouble, all legal liabilities and compensations fall solely on Mr. Thorne, not affecting you in the slightest.”
Charlene was taken aback.
Stewart’s eyes widened, “Are you sure you’re not mistaken? Thorne can be this considerate?” Padgett laughed, “Stewart, are you doubting my professional skills?”
Stewart replied, “…Not exactly.”
He was just too surprised, that’s all. Charlene was somewhat surprised too. But not overly so. Throughout their marriage, Thorne had always been distant and rarely supportive, but she knew him well enough to believe that if he was giving her something now, he would likely make sure she wouldn’t have any worries later on.
Thus, her request to review the contract wasn’t out of suspicion he’d play tricks, but rather out of concern there might be overlooked details.

The readers' comments on the novel: Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne)
Enough already. This novel is dragging slowly. Updated with 2 chapters only. REALLY!!! Whoever the author or authors of this novel why is there a delay in penning more chapters? Here’s my question. In reading the comments from others does their opinions matters and/or make a difference? Are comments being monitored? Or is it only a tool allowing readers to blow off steam?...
Long wait to just get an upload of a couple of chapters. Very little progress in the story if any at all! For heaven's sake the story is 453 chapters so far with nothing or little change from where the story began! Show commitment to us your readers and followers please!...
Hi..its my 1st ever time commenting on any story. But seriously....i dont mean to come as rude but are u seriously thinking about the stroy or losing ur grip on the plot and characters...not updating...no story development...no commitment towards ur readers...u just uploaded 2 chapters after god know how long and still nothing to give to the story..if u dont want to write or simply cant then please dont...
The updates are so slow that I forgot the story for some time and just remembered it and read 20 chapters. The chapters are short and the story development is like a snail. 451 chapters and Charlene still couldn't break her image in other's eyes or dealth some serious damage to Vesta and her trash father....
It would be better to say right away that there are 10 chap/month...
Just give us updates already...
We're stuck at this chapter for over 2wks now Very annoying Thorne and vesta having the tune of their lives while Charlene is stuck More annoying...
Updating chapters to this novel is reminiscent of a sloth. There should be a disclaimer when this site states PUBLISH 10 chaps/day....
Seriously speaking story seems to loosing its grip.. no point in dragging.. it would be better if story gets wrapped within 600 chapters.....
Dragging and no real story. Mistress is having gala time and getting all attention and poor wife is getting neglected. The story is stuck and not moving...forget about the divorce let alone husband regretting. Boring book...
