Chapter 239 Seeking Reconciliation 

In the bedroom of the Delacruz’s home. 

Gavyn was reeking of alcohol. Usually, he had always made it a point to freshen up after a long day at work before getting into bed. However, that day, for some unknown reason, he collapsed onto the bed without even changing 

his clothes. 

Seeing him like this, Alfred was worried but didn’t know how to offer comfort. 

Adam could only pour a glass of water before quickly retreating. 

At the edge of the table, Gavyn stubbed out a layer of cigarette butts in the 

ashtray. 

This was already the fifth cigarette. 

Gavyn frowned irritably and lit another one, feeling sick. His head was buzzing, and every time he thought of Aylin’s face, his heart inexplicably 

started to race. 

Aylin’s every frown and smile, every moment of annoyance and anger, became increasingly clear in his mind. 

The man closed his eyes and let out a bitter laugh.

After the smoke dissipated and the alcohol took effect, Gavyn reached for his phone and sent a message. Then, he closed his eyes heavily. 

When Gavyn woke up again, it was Lloyd who had roused him.

devastated.

Gavyn was roused from his half-asleep state and pressed his slender fingertips firmly against his temples. “Why are you here?” 

Lloyd wiped his face, realizing Gavyn had gotten so caught up in drowning his sorrows and getting drunk that he had completely forgotten about his actual responsibilities! 

“Mr. Delacruz, it was you who messaged me yesterday saying that you have a meeting with Ms. Koch today to discuss about your collaboration with her. Thus, you asked me to pick you up this morning!” 

Gavyn was taken aback. 

Gavyn pondered for a moment. However, the memories from last night were a chaotic mess, and he had no recollection of that at all. 

Taking out his phone and opening the chat window, Gavyn saw that there was indeed a message he had sent to Lloyd subconsciously while being drunk. 

Caught off guard, Gavyn quickly got out of bed and started washing up. “Go 

and get the gray-blue suit from my wardrobe,” he said. 

Immediately, Lloyd took on the role of a personal assistant and took out a suit from the closet. The suit was luxurious yet understated, had a unique color, and was accompanied by a pair of exquisite cufflinks. 

Gavyn quickly finished washing up. Although he was short on time, he was efficient in his movements. 

After stepping out of the bathroom, he put on his clothes and jewelry. Gavyn then applied some foamy hair wax to style his hair. His leather boots shone brightly, and his whole appearance was radiant and refreshed, completely different from his previous dispirited look. 

Gavyn looked at himself in the mirror, seemingly still not quite satisfied. 

“Bring that black vest over here for me to take a look.” 

At that, Lloyd was rendered speechless. 

Lloyd held his forehead. Is he going there to discuss about the partnership, or is he trying to garner attention? 

However, Lloyd couldn’t say it outright, so he had no choice but to obey and rummage through the cabinet to find a brand new vest. Then, Lloyd handed it over to Gavyn. Lloyd didn’t know what Gavyn was up to, so he decided to wait right there. After a short while, he saw Gavyn carrying a pink embroidery sachet in his hand, which he carefully placed into his pocket. 

Lloyd was left speechless by what he saw. 

Business collaborations always called for a low-key yet luxurious attire that showcased one’s status while maintaining a reliable and steady demeanor. Gavyn had several sets of such clothing in his wardrobe, each unique in its own way. Yet, he chose not to wear them, instead trying on different 

combinations in front of the mirror while looking at himself from various 

angles. 

Lloyd couldn’t help but shake his head at his boss’ stubbornness. He still 

refuses to admit his feelings for Ms. Koch. 

However, he really is handsome! 

Gavyn, had an outstanding height of six feet two inches with unparalleled handsome features and a strong and indifferent aura. He was truly a remarkable figure. 

When getting off the vehicle, quite a few passersby cast sidelong glances at 

Gavyn. 

Gavyn gazed ahead, taking large strides as he ascended the steps. 

Upon arriving at the Koch Group, he was discreetly observed by many female employees, causing quite a stir as whispers sounded wherever he went. 

However, Lloyd did not have the same thoughts. After all, he had basically become immune to Gavyn’s astonishingly handsome face.

“Mr. Delacruz, Ms. Koch seems to be quite friendly this time, and everyone in the company is very welcoming to us. Maybe you two can reconcile and get back to how things were before,” Lloyd said emotionally.

However, Gavyn pondered over his words. 

Every time Gavyn tried to talk to Aylin, he was met with harsh criticism and 

pushed away. It was only when discussing cooperation that Gavyn felt valued. 

Gavyn longed to return to the past with her.

Gavyn chuckled self-deprecatingly as he entered the entrance of the Koch 

Group. 

Upon arriving at the front desk, the receptionist called for Daniel. Daniel personally escorted the two guests to the VIP elevator.
