Lloyd was overjoyed. “Ms. Koch, you came back just in time. Mr. Delacruz has 

just woken up, and I fed him some water. The doctor said that his condition is 

not serious, but he has suffered a minor concussion and some abdominal injuries. He needs to be observed for a few days.” 

Aylin glanced nonchalantly at the man on the bed. 

“What did the doctors say about potential after-effects?” 

“Nothing.”
