Unveiling The Genius Behind The Divorce novel Chapter 286

Chapter 286 Did You Hurt Your Brain?

Aylin stared at him incredulously. “Mr. Delacruz, this is my car!”

“I know. I’ll go to lunch with you.”

Aylin really couldn’t understand Gavyn now.

During their time as husband and wife, she would bring him warm meals, but

he was unable to reciprocate with a positive facial expression.

Now that they were divorced, he barged into her car for a free meal?

“Get out!”

Despite his injury, Gavyn’s hand movements remained agile. He swiftly fastened his seatbelt and remarked, “You just expressed gratitude towards me, and now you’re refusing to have a meal together?”

Gavyn slowly sat up straight and said confidently, “I did you a favor. It’s not too much to have a meal together, is it?”

If emotions could materialize, there would definitely be three black lines on

Aylin’s head at the moment.

These are two separate matters! How can they be lumped together?

Although Aylin was rendered speechless, she had a hunch that this individual wouldn’t leave easily. Therefore, she swiftly closed the door and hurriedly got into the car.

Somehow, even her seatbelt seemed to be against her today. Aylin furrowed her brow and struggled to fasten it, letting out an irritated “tsk” after struggling for a while.

“I’ll do it.”

Gavyn leaned closer to her, and Aylin could even smell the mellow and elegant cologne on him.

Gavyn circled Aylin’s waist with one hand and searched for a moment on the

chair. Occasionally, the delicate watch on his wrist brushed against the hem of

her thin skirt.

Aylin subconsciously leaned back, and the man’s low and magnetic voice

sounded in her ears, “Don’t move.”

The atmosphere was heavy, and the car was so quiet that only the sound of

their breathing could be heard.

As he shifted, a familiar fragrance from Aylin’s hair wafted towards him.

Memories rushed back, causing a wave of emotions to engulf him.

After a while, he found the buckle of the seatbelt and fastened it for Aylin.

“Done.”

In the past, Gavyn had never done anything so tedious for her.

He simply helped her fasten the seat belt, yet the air around them seemed strangely warm. She let out a light cough and opened the car window slightly

to let some fresh air in.

On the road, Aylin remained focused and composed, displaying a sense of familiarity with driving as she maintained a steady and swift pace.

Gavyn couldn’t help but sigh again. After regaining her memory, Aylin was the real her. She had found her soul. She had all kinds of talents, and she was.

amazing in every way!

The car finally stopped in front of a western restaurant named TheForest.

Aylin skillfully turned back, parked her car, took her bag, and got out of the

car.

The restaurant exuded an air of elegance, with predominantly brown-gray

décor that had low saturation. The simplicity of the design added to its

aristocratic ambiance.

In the center of the room, there stood a small stage. A cellist, dressed in an elegant gown, played a slow and enchanting melody on the stage. The music flowed like water, captivating the senses with its melodious rhythm.

As soon as they entered, the wait staff warmly greeted them, found an empty

seat, and led them to sit down.

“What would you like to have?”

Gavyn passed the menu to Aylin first. “Ladies first.”

Upon witnessing his gentlemanly behavior, the waitress couldn’t resist

commenting, “You two truly make the most well-matched couple I’ve ever

encountered. A perfect match!”

From the moment they entered side by side, they captivated the attention of

everyone around. They exuded an extraordinary aura as a couple, with a perfect blend of temperament that would make anyone who glanced at them

feel envious.

The waitress sweetly remarked, “Miss, you are incredibly fortunate. Your

husband is not only handsome but also caring. If I had such a stunning wife like you, I would also cherish her dearly!”

Gavyn was very happy to hear that, and a hint of joy appeared on his face.

He took out a few bills from his wallet and handed them directly to the

waitress as a tip.

“Thank you, thank you sir, you are so generous! Miss, your husband is so

nice!”

Aylin’s eyebrows twitched slightly. She found it peculiar that the waitress

automatically assumed that any man and woman together were a couple.

“We are not husband and wife.”

The waitress was stunned, “Huh? But you guys clearly…”

They were clearly a match made in heaven! I have never been wrong before!

“Ex-husband.”

Aylin said indifferently, “Only married couples have a marriage certificate, and we only have a divorce certificate.”

Gavyn had a sudden reflex and choked on his saliva.

The waitress widened her eyes at the side. How could the man divorce such a beautiful woman? Is this man blind?

Suddenly, the waitress didn’t think Gavyn was handsome anymore.

The waitress attentively introduced the newly launched dishes to Aylin, saying, “Miss, may I inquire about your preferred taste? Our mushroom soup is highly recommended and happens to be our signature dish.”

With a lack of appetite, Aylin circled two dishes on the menu with a pen and said, “I’ll have these, please.”

With that, she handed the menu to Gavyn.

Gavyn appeared to have made his decision beforehand as he used a pen to select multiple dishes from the menu. The waitress took note of his choices. but hesitated, saying, “Sir, won’t this be too much food?”

Aylin stole a glance and saw that he had chosen roast meat toast, grilled anchovy steak, baked Alaska, clam chowder, Swiss roll, and a large portion of

yogurt tomato salad.

Aylin’s eyes momentarily froze, and her hands clenched tightly for a brief

moment.

These were all her favorite food. What is Gavyn up to?

“Are you sure you want all these?” Aylin had a complicated expression on her

face.

Gavyn nodded firmly. “They are just nice.”

Aylin pursed her lips with a complicated expression. “Gavyn, tell me the truth. Did you really hurt your brain?”
