Aylin is fine. Waylon was the first to regain his composure, his expression subtly sighing.
He furrowed his brow, his sharp gaze fixed on the main culprit.
“What kind of work is this?”
Just now, a sharp object came from a staff member carrying a large display stand. A pointed. decoration on the stand had broken off and nearly stabbed Aylin!
“Why not use a protective cover when carrying something so dangerous!”
Waylon’s face was cold, and his tone was chilling. The two young men moving the items were frightened, repeatedly bowing and apologizing, “1-1 am sorry. This thing was needed urgently, and I didn’t know it would suddenly break. I didn’t have time to fix it. Please, have mercy on us…”
The two of them could tell that the people in front of them were of extraordinary status, and by the end of their sentence, their voices were trembling, “W-We have only been working here for two days…”
The two of them were quite young, looking as if they had just graduated. Waylon furrowed his brow, “Is ‘just starting work’ your excuse?”
“Never mind.”
Aylin snapped back to reality and pushed Gavyn away, her movements still a bit awkward. “I’m not hurt, let them go,” she said.
The two staff members left with heartfelt gratitude.
Aylin looked at Gavyn with a gentle expression, “Thank you, Mr. Delacruz, for what you did just now.”
She didn’t know why Gavyn would save her. Back when they were married, Gavyn never seemed to care whether she lived or died.
Surprisingly, the sun rose from the west.
The woman’s cold tone made Gavyn frown involuntarily. To be honest, the feeling of Aylin in his arms was quite pleasant – warm, fragrant, and delicate, with an endearing petite frame.
He hadn’t yet savored a familiar feeling when she abruptly pushed him away. Her expression of gratitude was cold and distant, as if she didn’t want to spare him another glance, seemingly unwilling to have any entanglement with him.
Gavyn’s inner frustration began to surge once again.
His gaze fell on Aylin’s stiletto, frowning, perhaps venting, perhaps displacing anger, “Wearing such high shoes, you can’t even stand steady in the face of danger. Don’t you know to switch to a pair of low-heeled shoes?”
In fact, he had some selfish motives. The dazzling Aylin attracted countless envious gazes, which made Gavyn quite unhappy.
It seemed that he himself was not aware of it, but he had developed a desire to possess the woman in front of him.
She was rendered speechless.
Aylin’s expression changed for the worse in an instant.
What a nerve-wracking situation! Her previously unsettled emotions suddenly hit rock bottom. They were already divorced, so why should it matter what she wore!
Gavyn’s preachy tone really annoyed her.
