After receiving Aylin’s signal, Harry snorted disdainfully. He turned around and held Abby’s hand. “Listen to Ayl. Let’s go.”
Gavyn’s oppressive aura was so strong that it could send a chill down one’s spine. Ordinary people would be terrified by his expression.
Harry, on the other hand, was far from ordinary. He affectionately wrapped his arm around Aylin’s shoulder and walked past Gavyn.
Aylin didn’t spare a glance for Gavyn either.
The three of them went upstairs together, leaving Gavyn standing in place. His gaze was fixed on them, and he felt very annoyed.
Abby turned around curiously and noticed Gavyn was still looking in their direction. His gaze was so complicated that the young Abby couldn’t comprehend them. She was curious to know who this man really was.
She noticed Aylin didn’t seem pleased since this man came in.
Why was that?
Aylin followed Harry into the private room. As soon as the door opened, a sudden boom rang out. Colorful ribbons and paper fireworks filled the air, leaving behind a vibrant display of colors.
Aylin couldn’t open her eyes. She removed the confetti blocking her view, and Harry’s handsome face suddenly appeared before her. He said with a smile, “Happy birthday!”
Aylin was stunned.
“This is…”
“Are you surprised?” Harry’s low yet cheerful voice sounded in her ears.
“Happy birthday, Ayl.”
Only then did Aylin snap to her senses.
She had been so busy with work lately that she had forgotten it was her birthday today.
Robert popped the confetti all over and shouted loudly. “What do you think? Isn’t the decoration here amazing? I specially decorated it for you!”
“How shameless.”
Harry narrowed his eyes and glanced at Robert. “I’ve planned everything with, you. How can you take all the credit yourself? Be careful, or I’ll beat you up!”
Pink balloons and sparkling long ribbons filled the spacious private room. The sofa, tables, and chairs were covered with girlish striped fabric, creating a colorful and dazzling sight.
Harry and Robert were smiling happily.
Aylin was surprised and delighted. She was smiling when she suddenly realized something.
“Robert, did you suddenly leave the company entrance earlier to come and decorate the room in advance?”
Robert made a “correct” gesture with his hand. “Bingo!”
“And Harry, you come back to celebrate my birthday too?”
Harry nodded.
They remembered something she had even forgotten herself.
Aylin’s eyes welled up with tears. She was so moved that she fell speechless.
Robert took a beautifully wrapped gift box from the table and handed it to her mysteriously. “Here, open it. It’s a birthday gift I got for you. You’ll absolutely love it!”
Aylin smiled and unwrapped it, revealing a high-end diamond necklace inside. It was a large 12-carat blue diamond complemented by emeralds. It looked magnificent and gorgeous.
“I spent a long time choosing this. The others either had too small diamonds or were too tacky. I picked this one because the refreshing color scheme perfectly complements your aura, Aylin.” Robert smiled and said, “I wish you endless joy and beauty. You are forever eighteen in my heart!”
“You surely know how to sweet-talk.”
Harry snorted and took out the gift he had prepared. However, there were two gifts. “This one is from me, and Willie asked me to bring this back for you.”
Of course, both gifts were of significant value.
Harry gave her a luxury Italian brand black fountain pen, while Willie gave her an exquisite hand-made pocket watch. The craftsmanship was meticulous, and it was clearly an expensive item.
Harry hugged Aylin and handed her the gifts. “Ayl, I wish you peace, joy, and success in all your future endeavors.”
Aylin began to tear up.
“Thank you, Robert and Harry. Thank Willie for me too. I love all your gifts.”
“Aylin…”
Abby had already received the instructions. She tugged at the hem of Aylin’s clothes and said in a clear voice, “I also prepared a gift for you.”
Aylin snapped back to her senses and smiled, “Oh, Abby also has a gift. What is it?”
Abby took a painting from her small schoolbag and carefully handed it to Aylin.
