Chapter 277 I Was Late to Welcome
“I’ve never even heard of you! Where did this nobody come from?”
Phil was very disdainful of Aylin. They were all top doctors in this hospital.
Being questioned by an outsider, they felt that their authority was being challenged. “Is the director doing rounds on the fifth floor? Nurse, call the director to deal with her personally!”
Aylin didn’t bother talking to Phil. It was better to call someone who could settle the issue at hand rather than listen to his constant whining.
The nurse ran out and found the director of the hospital, who had been reading case files in his office. “Director, someone has disrupted a consultation and is arguing with Mr. Obadiah and the others. Mr. Evans has invited you to go take a look.”
The director frowned. “Who? What’s their name? Which department are they from?”
The nurse said, “She’s not from our hospital. I think her name is… Althea!”
When the director, who was originally sitting on the chair, heard this, he stood up at once, which startled the nurse.
The nurse thought, Even if you’re angry, was that really necessary?
“Althea! Are you sure you heard it right?”
The nurse nodded. “Of course. I heard it from her.”
As soon as he put down the case file in his hand, the director walked quickly through the corridor, almost trotting.
When he arrived at the door of the conference room, he heard Phil saying sarcastically inside, “How dare you come here to show off? I’ve never heard of it! Do you think you’re a Divine Doctor?”
The director’s face darkened as he pushed open the door.
“She is a Divine Doctor!”
Everyone was stunned, especially Phil. However, he recovered first and looked straight at the director. “No, what are you talking about… What kind of doctor is she?”
The director frowned. “You ignorant fool!”
A few years ago, before he became a director, he followed his mentor around to study medicine in various hospitals. In the cardiology department of the top hospital in New York, he saw a brilliant and thrilling operation.
It was a patient with left ventricular hypertrophy and heart failure. Because of the patient’s age and many complications, almost no doctor dared to take over the case. Only a special doctor named Althea took the operation resolutely.
He helped his mentor, while his mentor helped the Divine Doctor.
It was the most perfect surgery he had ever seen. The time it was completed. was half of what it usually was, which greatly reduced the possibility of the patient losing too much blood.
The wounds and incisions were smooth and neat, almost like they were cut by a machine. After the operation, the patient only had a very short scar on his chest, which could hardly be seen!
At first, he wanted to establish a relationship with the Divine Doctor, but even his respected mentor couldn’t get their contact information. The director admired them so much that he secretly took photos of the Divine Doctor’s back and side profile, looking forward to seeing them again in the future.
Although the mask was worn tightly, he would never forget those cold eyes.
“Divine Doctor, I didn’t expect it to be you! Why are you here?” The director was so excited that he clenched his hands and stepped forward. “I’m sorry for being late.”
Aylin said concisely, “I’m here to save her. If we don’t open that little girl’s head, her life will be in danger.”
“Okay! I’ll do as you say. I’ll leave the treatment to you!”
Conor was displeased and frowned. “Director, isn’t it too ridiculous for you to agree to her proposal without even looking at the patient’s condition?”
Phil was also furious. “Divine Doctor? She doesn’t even look like a doctor.
Don’t be fooled by her!”
“That’s enough! You think I don’t know who’s in charge here?” The director stared fixedly at Phil. “Conor, your men are acting recklessly! Apologize to the Divine Doctor!”
Phil glared at Aylin angrily and refused to show any weakness.
Phil sneered disdainfully. He believed she might lose her concentration now.
The brain was the most sophisticated part of the human body. To operate on it, one had to stand for more than half a day once the operation began. Ordinary women wouldn’t be able to handle the strain, and they would definitely need to be replaced halfway through!
But Aylin was unmoved and focused on her work
As she expected, the internal wound was not properly treated, and the little girl’s hematoma continued to increase. What was needed now was to completely remove the blood clot.
But it would not be easy.
Phil crossed his arms and looked at Aylin like he was waiting for a joke to unfold.
The hematoma stuck to the mucosal layer, and countless blood vessels and nerves wrapped around it. If anything went wrong, it would be a disaster for the patient!
Conor also frowned. “Now that she’s found sense again, there might still be a chance for the surgery to end in success. If she continues with the next step and something happens, the result is not something our hospital can bear.”
The director handed Aylin a pair of tweezers and glared at them.
“Don’t get in the way!”
Conor was so angry that he glared at Asher. Both Asher and Phil looked at each other, thinking that the director had become senile!
Aylin’s hand holding the knife was steady and firm.
Generally, the removal of a hematoma would begin at the bottom and gradually go upward, but Aylin went straight to the middle of it!
That’s where the medulla was!
Asher couldn’t help but exclaim in a low voice, “Is this woman crazy?”
This was unbelievable
