However, when Elinor regarded it as an illusion and turned around, Victor turned his face, his cold and gloomy eyes fixed on her thin back, like an invisible net capturing her.
When Quincy was chatting with Dixon, he received a call.
"Hello, is that Mr. Sue? Your son has gastric lavage in our hospital. Is it convenient for you to come?"
Quincy got a fright, holding his phone. "What's up? Kemp has gastric lavage?"
"Yes, the patient is Kemp Sue. He is currently waiting for his relatives to sign in the hospital. Please come to our hospital immediately."
"Tell me the address, please!" Quincy's face changed. After hanging up the phone, he looked at Dixon with a sad face. "Sorry, I'm doomed to miss the meal tonight. Kemp's now in the hospital. I must go there."
Both Dixon and Sonia were shocked. "What happened? Why he was hospitalized all of a sudden?"
"He may have eaten something poisonous at night and is having his stomach pumped."
Quincy hurried out. "Dixon, I'll leave to have a look. Elinor, take care of yourself."
Anyway, Elinor would be safe in Dixon's home, for he was a reliable friend. Quincy went out directly, leaving Elinor sit in the living room in a trance.
After she came to her senses, only she was left.
It was magical tonight, from Rutledge's departure to Kemp's hospitalization and Quincy's leaving. Finally, Elinor was left alone in Dixon's house.
