Kemp was originally about to go out with Elinor. Hearing this sentence, he stiffened.
Then he gnashed his teeth and looked back at Shawn. "With your current attitude, what good words do you want from me?"
"That's how you talk to your future brother-in-law?"
Shawn can feel the hostility from Kemp. It was meaningless to pretend now, so Kemp was impatient to him. "In fact, if you really don't want to marry my sister, it doesn't matter at all. Even if you claim that your family looks down on ours, and you don't want to marry Elinor, it's fine."
As he spoke, he grabbed Elinor's hand more tightly. "The funniest thing is that you keep looking down on my sister, but you still want to marry her. Isn't Mr. Yates tired of acting like this?"
Hearing this, Elinor was embarrassed, her face pale. "Kemp, forget it. Let's go."
There was no love between her and Shawn. She can't live a happy life with him. She expected his current attitude.
Of course, Kemp can't get any answer from Shawn, but his gloomy and deep eyes.
In the long and narrow corridor, Kemp led Elinor to meet the elders who she would live together. When he arrived at the corner, a voice suddenly came.
"Elinor? Long time no see, you become more beautiful."
Both of them stopped and saw a man coming out of the corner. He looked well-dressed in a suit, but impolite. He squinted and eyed her up and down like treating the goods. "I didn't expect you to marry Shawn. Did your old lover Victor abandon you?"
"Yancy, watch your words!"
