December 31st. The Seaside City. Cold.
It was getting colder and colder. It was time for Chinese New Year in a month or two. In the middle of winter, passers-by jostled each other in a crowd and passed by one after another. Everyone's life rhythm was getting faster and faster. They no longer stayed for whom they met on the road.
When Sonia got off work, Victor and Carl were already at home. Victor's school had a New Year's Day holiday and could rest for several days recently. Carl turned on the heating at home. His nose was red with cold on the way from work. He felt a little better when he went home.
Carl got off work earlier than her. At the moment, he was sitting under the air conditioner with Victor. One big and one small face was flushed by the heating.
Seeing Sonia coming home from work, Victor rushed over and said, "Mommy, I am earlier than you again today!"
Sonia smiled, "Yes, because you study harder than Mommy."
Victor took Sonia and came under the air conditioner. Next to it, Carl bought strawberries and ate them while picking them. On the last day of New Year's Eve, three people got together and played a game. Then Sonia washed early and went to bed.
Victor wanted to spend the New Year with Carl anyway. He stayed in his room at night and refused to come out. Sonia couldn't persuade him, so she had to let him go. She went to bed alone. As soon as she tucked herself, his mobile phone rang.
It was a string of strange numbers.
Recently, Sonia was particularly wary of this strange number. As soon as it was connected, there was a particularly irritable sound of bar electronic music.
A waiter said "Hello" a few times into the microphone. Sonia frowned and replied indifferently, "What can I do for you?"
It was very noisy on the waiter's side. He also shouted to Sonia with all his strength, "Hello Miss, your husband drank too much and was unconscious here today. Please come and pick it up."
Husband?
Sonia sneered, "Sorry, I am single."
The waiter suddenly understood. It turned out that the young couple quarreled. So he said persuasively, "But in your husband phone, your alias is wife, isn't Miss Donald? The name was right, too. Don't make trouble for the New Year's Eve. Please come to Myst and pick up your husband!"
Sonia didn't speak and was silent for a long time. The waiter over there said "Hello" a few times. She said, "I don't have a husband. You have the wrong number."
"No way, Miss Donald... your... your husband is drunk here..."
Sonia didn't think much and hung up the phone directly.
Now, if she went out and went to him again, she would be a bitch.
Dixon saw the waiter returned his mobile phone. He smashed the glass in his hand on the ground, "Where did she get the courage to hang up!"
