Marcus froze when Victor said these words. Lamont, who was watching their video and listening to their conversation on the side, also froze.
As if something occurred to them in a sharp flash, they coincidentally thought of Greed.
Was it... Was it to get Greed that this chase and hunt was created?
But Greed was dead. What was the point of hunting Seven Deadly Sins?
"Maybe we'll have to ask the last member of yours who hasn't shown up yet."
Victor stared at Marcus' face across the phone, "The one called Gluttony, the last member hasn't shown up."
After ending all the calls, Victor finished the rest of the cake. Then he quickly finished his homework all by himself. And then, he started to search for information about the Lightning Team on the Internet.
But all the news on the Internet was about how important the Lightning Team was to the people of the Seaside City. The Lightning Team were like the guardians of the city, and no one had any complaints about them.
Then, the blood debt of the Seven Deadly Sins was committed in the past... How should it be settled?
Victor frowned. He didn't want Sonia to know that he had endured something so serious. So, when he heard the knock on the door, he simply turned off the web page. Then seeing her walking in, he raised a smile, "What's up?"
"I saw you are still awake."
Sonia was a little distressed. She reached out and touched Victor's face, "Well, it's time to sleep."
Victor wrapped his hand around Sonia's and pouted, "Mom, we've already come to the good days. Please don't show such a face again."
Sonia didn't say anything. Good days? Really?
It seemed that every suffering she had endured had gained justice. Rebecca was still in a coma, Maria was dead in a terrible way as she deserved, and Dixon was relieved and confessed his sins. Everything she was owed had been returned.
But was this really the end?
Victor said, "Our life is now getting on track. I have my Uncle Junior and the Jungle Group as my back. And we have my master to help us. No one will bully us anymore. You see, dad will not hurt you now. We have come out of the shadows."
Perhaps Victor was right. She was fortunate enough to survive the difficult times. And finally, she had her life back.
But looking at the gloom in Victor's eyes, Sonia felt that it wasn't over yet.
There seemed to be a final wave of madness and storm that was waiting to come.
"If you have something you want to tell, don't hide it from me."
Sonia whispered, "I don't want to be protected by you guys anymore."
"I understand."
Victor looked up at Sonia, "Would you choose to get back together with Dixon Borris because of me?"
At times like this, he addressed Dixon by his name.
Sonia froze, "Why do you ask that?"
"Because I thought... You've gotten over the worst. Maybe, it was the time for you two to get back together." Victor tentatively asked, "I think he's changed into a new person now."
"I've changed into a new person too."
Sonia laughed, "Some people don't have to be together. It's enough to have had them."
Victor didn't say anything. But he thought of Elinor's face.
He still couldn't stand Elinor's existence. Perhaps it was the same as when Sonia hated Dixon to the guts.
