Chapter 147 

“Lucas, I was wrong,” Brian said. “Don’t leave me with Paxton!” 

Brian’s big eyes were filled with tears, looking extremely pitiful. 

Among all the godfathers, Brian was most afraid of Paxton. 

It wasn’t that Paxton treated Brian poorly. It could be said that Paxton was the kindest of all the godfathers. How

The two brothers chatted until late at night before falling asleep on the same bed in a daze. 

Audrey came out of the lab and saw light coming through the gap at the bottom of Brian’s room door. She then opened the door and walked in. 

On the big bed, the two little ones were sleeping soundly with their heads against each other. 

Audrey took the blanket that the two brothers had kicked off the bed and gently covered them with it. 

Lucas opened his eyes groggily. When he saw Audrey, he called out softly, “Mommy!” 

Only at this moment would Lucas reveal such a soft and cuddly appearance. 

Audrey lowered her head and kissed his forehead, saying, “Yeah. Mommy is here. Go back to sleep.” 

“Did you just finish your experiment?” The little one squinted, smelling the scent of drugs on Audrey. 

“Yeah” Audrey nodded, her cool expression softening for once, revealing a tender warmth. 

“Can Brian be treated?” 

“Yes, he can be treated. Don’t worry!” Audrey caressed Lucas’s head comfortingly and spoke gently. “It’s late. Go to sleep now.” Lucas replied obediently and softly, “Okay. Good night, Mommy!” 

“Good night, sweetheart!” Audrey covered the two brothers with the blanket again before turning off the lights and leaving the 

room 

After returning to her room, Audrey rubbed her eyebrows wearily and went to the bathroom to take a shower. 

All her experiments had failed. So far, only one method was feasible. 

At the thought of this, Audrey’s eyes turned even colder. 

After finishing her shower, she came out of the bathroom and saw a message from Dylan that had been sent a few hours earlier. 

Audrey took a glance, turned off her phone, and went to bed. 

The next morning, the two brothers woke up early.

Brian went with Lucas to the backyard to exercise for a while. It was not until Wendy called them to have breakfast that they entered the house. 

After breakfast, Dylan arrived. 

As soon as Brian heard that Dylan was here, he ran out quickly, completely forgetting Lucas’s warning the previous night.

“Brian, come here!” Lucas said. 

Lucas had arrived at the doorway at some point. His dark, crystal–clear eyes stared coldly at Brian and Dylan. 

Brian’s body trembled. Under the threat of Lucas’s gaze, he immediately ran over and let out two whimpers inwardly. ‘Dylan, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but Lucas is too scary, he thought, whimpering inwardly. 

After Brian ran over, Lucas shot him a glance of frustration before looking at Dylan coldly. 

Then, he said coldly, “Escort Mr. Clifford out. From now on, Mr. Clifford is not allowed to set foot in the Holland residence!” Dylan looked at his son’s cold face and chuckled. “The person you hired with 60 million dollars doesn’t seem to be all that. impressivel 

Lucas instantly squinted. His youthful and cold little face frowned as he let out a snort 

He showed no fear or panic after being exposed. Instead, he shouted arrogantly, “So what? I have a lot of money. I’m happy to spend it” 

He thought, ‘If this man really dares to cause trouble, no big deal then. I’ll make a bomb and blow up Clifford Group. Hmph!” He’s young, but he has quite a temper, looking like a little adult, Dylan thought. He could not help but laugh in anger, but his face remained dignified and stern.

over in a bit

Lucas snorted coldly, thinking, Tm not interested in the stuff this man gives. 

Knowing that his son was not easily fooled, Dylan sighed inwardly. However, he also knew that he probably would not be able to enter the Holland residence today.
