"That's good. I don't know, last time there were three young ladies who also introduced themselves as my juniors. I also couldn't remember them but hopefully whoever they are, they would also take into consideration their actions before doing something, or else they would regret it. Don't you think so, junior?"
Julie Tan's smile turned stiff. "Right senior. You're right."
"Hmm, anyway, I still have somewhere to go, would you mind if I go ahead?" "That….. Why didn't you try the tea first?" Julie Tan asked innocently.
"It's okay. I'll just return next time. I was preoccupied talking with you I wasn't able to notice my tea got cold,"
Veronica paused and look straightly at Julie Tan's eyes,
"There are things better served cold but tea I believe isn't one of those things, don't you think so as well junior?"
Veronica asked in a good-natured voice.
Julie Tan hid her annoyance. Why does it feel like the woman in front of her is up to something she couldn't understand?!
'Just wait later, I doubt you would still be able to give me advice after today.' "Junior? Junior? Are you okay?" Julie Tan heard Veronica asking her in worry. "I don't know, senior. I felt dizzy. Are you really going now?"
"Yes. Are you okay being on your own?" Veronica asked.
'Bitch! You could see I'm alone, feeling 'not okay' and still you asked?! How could Rawlf like a stupid woman like you?!' Julie Tan cursed in her mind.
"That senior…. Would you mind sending me home? If….if it's only okay with you….actually I just rode on a taxi going here since my car wasn't fixed yet…"
Veronica sighed in her heart, when she and Rawlf talked last night, she learned that the current mayor, this young woman's father was actually a good man and a politician. So how come that this woman seemed different from her father?
"Well, I don't mind. Can you walk on your own or would you rather I asked a staff member here to bring you in my car?"
