So, in the evening, Elijah accompanied Cordelia to pick up Amy from Milo's home and then sent them back to the Maple Villa.
"Amy, this is our home," Cordelia said gently.
Amy hugged Cordelia's neck tightly, looking around with her big eyes, curious about everything.
Elijah has been observing Cordelia quietly on the side, and sometimes, he stepped forward and said with concern, "Cordelia, let me hug Amy for a while. You can rest for a while."
Cordelia glanced at Elijah with a smile and asked him teasingly, "Can you hold a child?"
Elijah showed his muscles. "No problem. I'm strong!"
"Amy, let Elijah hug you, OK?" Cordelia asked Amy in a childish tone.
Unexpectedly, Amy hugged Cordelia's neck tightly as if she didn't want to let go. "Mom hug. Mom!"
Elijah suddenly felt a little embarrassed and touched his nose to relieve the embarrassment.
Cordelia quickly coaxed. "OK, if Amy doesn't want. Mom will hold Amy."
As she said that, she turned away and winked at Elijah, telling him not to pay attention.
Elijah shrugged his shoulders and smiled lightly as if he was saying, "I'm not hurt."
Amy was not a slow-heating child.
Just like when she first went to Milo's home, she was also a little afraid of the unfamiliar environment and hugged Cordelia tightly and refused to let go.
But soon, she left Cordelia and boldly explored new things like an elegant kitten.
Elijah's eyes would be attracted to Amy from time to time.
Seeing the look full of father's love in this man's eyes when he looked at Amy, Cordelia couldn't help but cover her mouth and snicker.
"What's wrong?" Elijah turned to look at her.
