Elisa snickered inwardly, thinking that Rose was shrewd and sly.

'That's how family members should treat each other.' She's implying that I don't deem them as my family because I don't go home, and it's me who chose to keep a distance from them.

With a smile resting on her lips, Elisa nodded. "I see. You and your family are kind to me. There's no misunderstanding between us."
