Liam did not answer the door.
Thinking that he probably could not hear her, Amber started rapping on the door even harder. Still, the door was not opened.
“Is he angry with me?” she wondered. Standing at the door, the smile on her face faded away. She decided it was completely normal for Liam to be ticked off by her rude attitude earlier.
“Fine, I’m just going to let him be sulky all day long inside. I can’t just barge inside and beg for his forgiveness, can I?” she mused.
Amber shook her head in resignation before heading back to her room. Just as she walked past the pots of plants placed nearby the study room, Mia came back from outside.
She looked hot wearing a black lacy dress with a snowy white fur coat draped on her shoulder.
When she noticed Amber walking over from Liam’s study, she knitted her brows slightly. She couldn’t help wondering why Amber, who was wearing pajamas, dropped by Liam’s study.
“Hey, Mia.” For some reason, the sight of Mia made Amber feel restless and somewhat guilty. She had no clue why she was feeling that way when she did not do anything wrong.
Mia plastered a pleasant smile on her face. “How’s it going, Amber?” She eyed Amber suspiciously, but she did not ask her anything about her visit to Liam’s study room. Amber felt awkward as she was not even given the chance to explain herself.
After the brief exchange with Mia, Amber quickly scurried back to her room.
Meanwhile, Mia went to the study room and heard music playing inside. Her heart sank because she knew Liam was inside.
As Liam did not answer the door, she opened it and walked straight inside.
“Liam, what’s this song you’re listening to?” Mia put aside her handbag and pecked on Liam’s cheeks.
