Chapter 227 I Won't Disturb You Again

"Because I love Kieran. It has to be him!"

The hostility around Terrence suddenly increased. He lowered his head and locked Alexa. There was a faint flame in his eyes.

"What did you say?"

"Am I not clear enough? Damar's father is Kieran," Alexa said coldly.

Alexa's words were like a knife, fiercely stabbing into Terrence's heart.

He didn't recover for a long time. The hand hanging by his side slightly raised, and finally, it fell powerlessly.

"Okay," Terrence said in a hoarse voice. "I respect your choice. From now on, I won't disturb you again."

"I hope you do what you say."

Alexa had her back to Terrence, and Terrence did not know what expression she had at the moment.

But in the end, Terrence could not say a word and had to leave silently.

Alexa sat down on the sofa in frustration. Not long after, another man walked in.

Keyon, travel-worn, came out of the door and said in a flat tone.

"I seem to have seen Terrence's car just now."

"Hmm. He came to talk to me about work." Alexa nodded.

Seeing that she wasn't in a good mood, Keyon didn't ask any further.

"Where's Damar?"

"Keyon, you haven't eaten yet, right? I'll let people prepare dinner." Alexa hid all her emotions.

Keyon smiled lightly, his handsome features appearing very gentle.

"You've been very busy recently, so don't worry so much about your family matters."

After Keyon finished speaking, he naturally went upstairs to Damarion.

Alexa had a terrible headache. After taking a few painkillers, she planned to go to the company.

Unexpectedly, Aubrey called to say that the news issue had been taken care of.

All the media that had slandered her had gone bankrupt, and there was no room for negotiation.

It must be Terrence's intention.

Alexa was tense and did not care much about him.

Not long after, Kieran called to invite her to dinner, and Alexa agreed.

When it was time to get off work, Alexa walked out of Vision Group and saw the Aston Martin parked at the door. Kieran was wearing a rather gentlemanly suit, holding a large bouquet of red roses in his hand, and standing upright in front of the car.

The afterglow of the setting sun gently sprinkled on him, like a lyric poem of autumn.

Everyone cast envious gazes at him. In the midst of the commotion, Alexa walked toward him with red ears.

"Mr. Powell, what's all the fuss about? I'm not an esteemed guest," Alexa teased with a smile.

"Because I'm here to see you. It's a very important matter," Kieran said.

No matter how strong Alexa was, she was still human after all.

At this moment, she actually felt the palpitations in her heart that she had not felt for a long time.

After getting in the car, Alexa had been lowering her head to fiddle with the flowers in her arms, not daring to look up at Kieran.

Kieran inadvertently glanced at the rearview mirror and instantly noticed the silver-gray Lamborghini behind them.

"Alexa, how are you and Terrence recently?"

"Nothing much," Alexa's face immediately sank as she said. "I have already cut off all ties with him, and I have said what I have to say."

"Actually, you don't have to force yourself like this."

Kieran was being considerate, but Alexa's face quickly cooled down.

"He made me so miserable. How can I still like him?"

Kieran did not answer, but he could not help but be secretly happy.

Compared with Terrence, he at least had a chance to pretend to be with Alexa.

After they arrived at the restaurant, the car that had been following behind Kieran also stopped.

Alexa had no idea how cold the eyes in the car were.

She followed Kieran into the hall and chose a seat by the window. It was low profile enough.
