Chapter 287 Giselle Comes to the Duran's House
However, Caspian was still of some value to Alexa. Terrence had to be kind to him.
They didn't talk much before someone knocked on the office door.
Terrence immediately returned to his usual coldness and indifferently said, "Come in."
However, when Terrence saw the comer, his eyes lit up.
"Why are you here?"
"I have something to ask of you."
Alexa sat on the sofa in a somewhat reserved manner. Edwin immediately left.
Seeing the cakes on the desk, Alexa looked at Terrence with a complicated gaze. She knew why the cakes were missing.
"I don't know why they are here," Terrence insisted. "It was definitely an accident."
Alexa did not care about it but coldly changed the topic.
"Caspian is missing."
"Oh? So?"
"I just wanted to ask you if you have any news about him."
"Why do I have news of him?"
Catching the mischievous smile in Terrence's eyes, Alexa confirmed her thoughts even more.
"Did you take him away?"
"Am I so kind in your heart?" Terrence teased. "I am happy that you think of me like that. So how are you going to reward me?"
"Is he really in your hands?" Alexa took the opportunity to say, "Name a price."
"Name a price?"
Terrence smiled. He had never heard such funny things.
"Do you think this is a market to buy groceries?" he smiled and asked. "You should know what I want, or do you need me to give you a hint?"
"What?"
Alexa frowned slightly and looked like she really did not know what Terrence wanted.
"Idiot."
Terrence couldn't help but smile as he approached her and easily surrounded her in a corner of the sofa.
Terrence rested one of his knees on the sofa, revealing a meaningful smile on his face.
Alexa instinctively avoided his gaze and was too nervous to speak.
The atmosphere was too intimate now, and Alexa felt panicked.
"What are you doing? We're in the office." Alexa breathed in a panic.
"I know. No one will come in."
As she realized that things seemed to be really strange, Alexa's
pupils contracted, and she was a little wary.
"Terrence, don't mess around."
"What do you mean by messing around?"
Terrence slowly reached out to her. Alexa was so scared that she immediately turned her head to avoid him, but what she imagined did not happen.
"What are you afraid of? Your eyes are tightly closed."
Alexa opened her eyes, just in time to see Terrence's perfect profile.
His slightly cool fingertips gently touched her hair and quickly sorted out the hair ornament that was about to fall.
"It's done."
After he finished speaking, Terrence pulled Alexa up and sat down by her side.
"Are you doing this just to help me tidy up my hair accessories?"
"What else? What else are you thinking about?"
Meeting his meaningful gaze, Alexa instantly stopped talking, not
wanting to dwell on the matter.
"Why don't you let me help you investigate Caspian?" asked
Terrence.
"This is my own business. I don't want to trouble someone else."
"I'm not someone else."
Alexa seemed to have not heard this and changed the topic.
"In short, he is very important to me now."
With that, she got up.
"Damarion is still waiting for me at home. I have to go back now."
"Wait."
Terrence took her hand, and Alexa looked at him doubtfully.
"Forget it. It's fine. I'll send you back."
"No. My driver is waiting for me downstairs."
After leaving Hudson Group, Alexa went straight back in the car.
"Ms. Duran, Mr. Duran is back today," Linda Farley, Alexa's new
assistant, said.
Alexa paused for a moment and then looked at Linda.
"Alright. Let the cook make some dishes that my brother loves. I'll
go back now."
"In addition, he also brought a guest back."
"A guest?"
Just as Alexa walked to the door of the villa, she heard a strange
female voice coming from the living room.
"I want Romanee-Conti. This is not the one. It tastes bad. I won't
drink it."
The woman spoke slowly, with a trace of dissatisfaction in her tone.
"Ms. Niebergall, the Romanee-Conti you want is Ms. Duran's collection. Without her permission, we do not have the right to open it."
The servant had already made it clear, but Giselle was prouder and colder when she heard that, and she became even more displeased.
"Ms. Duran?"
Giselle murmured it with great interest and suddenly chuckled.
"I remember that she even gave birth to a child. Why does she still
stay in the family?"
Giselle paused for a moment and then laughed disdainfully.
"Is it because no man wants her?"
Alexa listened to every word Giselle said and sneered.
When Alexa entered the living room, Giselle immediately stopped
talking.
"We have a guest? Why didn't anyone tell me in advance?" Alexa
said gracefully.
"Ms. Duran, this is Ms. Niebergall, Mr. Duran's guest," the housekeeper said.
"So you are Ms. Duran."
The smile on Giselle's face deepened as she deliberately
emphasized the words.
"Nice to meet you."
Alexa stretched out her hand in a friendly manner, but Giselle just
sat proudly on the side and sorted her shawl, ignoring Alexa.
"Ms. Duran, sit down."
