We Will Collide Someday by Scarlett Sanchez novel Chapter 329

Chapter 329 Be Happy

"OK. Go to sleep." Terrence carefully covered the corner of the comforter for her.

He left a night light for Alexa. Then he left the room softly. Inside the study room, David was sitting opposite a group of experts.

"Everyone, is there a result?"

Terrence was very calm, so calm that he seemed to be able to bear whatever the result was.

David took out an experimental report and explained the situation in detail.

"The clinical effect of the new medicine is indeed better than our expectations. If we can maintain this trend, there will be no big problem."

"In other words, it can be completely cured, right?" Terrence asked.

David paused.

"Ten years. We have the confidence to reach this target."

Terrence frowned imperceptibly. The bright light reflected on his face, but it made his expression gloomy.

For the first time, he took out the only cigarette box from the drawer.

Terrence lit a cigarette, but just held it in his hand and didn't smoke it.

David saw that his heart was heavy and wanted to say a few words of comfort, but Terrence nodded to them very sincerely.

"Thank you for your hard work. In the next few days, I will have to trouble you all,"

"Don't worry, Mr. Ramsey," they responded.

When David went out, he patted Terrence on the shoulder thoughtfully.

"Don't worry, a miracle will definitely happen."

"Compared to a miracle, I am more willing to believe in modern medicine."

Terrence smiled and seemed to be calm.

David's heart was much heavier.

"My mentor has tried his best to contact the experts in the industry, including Dr. Fleming who has retired from public life."

Although the medical community had a different opinion of this doctor,

David still believed that it was worth a try.

"Thank you a lot."

Terrence did not say much and personally sent David away.

Then, he stood alone in the court until the smell of the cigarette was completely blown away by the night snow.

However, when Terrence returned to his room, Alexa was still not asleep.

"Sorry," Alexa smiled. "I can't sleep, so I wanted to wait for you to come back."

"What are you thinking about?" Terrence took the opportunity to sit down beside her bed.

"Nothing."

Alexa's fingertips poked out of the bed and gently tugged at Terrence's sleeve.

"You don't look good. Are you tired?"

"I'm fine."

Alexa tilted her head and looked at the clock by the bed. It was already midnight.

She sighed and didn't know what to say.

"Mr. Ramsey, at this point in time, it doesn't seem suitable to tell such a lie."

Terrence smiled helplessly and immediately gave up.

"Alright," Terrence explained honestly. "I just dealt with some matters in the

company. It was indeed a little tiring."

Not wanting to make Alexa worry, Terrence quickly added.

"But it doesn't matter. I'll go take a bath."

"OK."

Terrence kissed her eyes. "I hope that when I come out, you're already asleep."

He went to the bathroom.

The water temperature was lower than usual. On this quiet winter night, the cool water stimulated his senses.

But only in this way, the emptiness and panic in his heart that had no origin would be suppressed.

Terrence had been trying his best to endure.
