Chapter 366 A One-Sided Family
Even though they were only Alexa's adoptive parents, Terrence had no intention of changing his words.
He knew better than anyone else how important the couple was to Alexa.
Alexa and Terrence returned to the Duran's place first.
Finley woke up early. He changed into a white shirt and looked even thinner and colder.
Probably not expecting Terrence to return, Finley seemed a little surprised.
But soon, his eyes were filled with a touch of coldness.
Only when he looked at Alexa did Finley's eyes light up.
"You're back?"
"Yes." Alexa nodded and asked, "Have you eaten breakfast? Does it still hurt? Let's go to the hospital."
"It doesn't matter." Finley shook his head. "You handled it well last night. It doesn't hurt."
"Let's go to the hospital. After all, I'm not a doctor."
"You're my student," Finley suddenly said. "I believe you."
Alexa pursed her lips and subconsciously avoided Finley's gaze.
"Sit here for a while." Alexa changed the topic. "I'm going to the bathroom."
After Alexa left, Terrence took the opportunity to sit next to Finley.
The atmosphere froze for a few seconds, and in the end, Terrence spoke first.
"How long have you liked her? When did it start?"
"No," Finley answered simply. "I just treat her as a student. That's all."
"That's not what your eyes showed."
As a man, Terrence could guess what Finley was thinking.
Although he hid it well, he still gave himself away in the end.
"She is just an ordinary friend to me. That's all," Finley replied expressionlessly. "It's just that because of her mother, I care more about her than ordinary people."
"Oh?"
Terrence's mood was complicated.
Why were there love rivals everywhere?
"What's more, didn't she already choose you?"
Terrence was sure that this was what Finley wanted to say.
"Love is not about first come, first served."
After saying that, Alexa came downstairs again.
"What are you talking about?" She asked curiously.
"Nothing."
Terrence made light of it and stood up, interlocking his fingers with Alexa's.
Finley did not look at them and sipped his tea.
"We are going to the cemetery," Alexa told Finley her plan. "Don't worry, I won't run around."
"With him by your side, I won't be worried."
Finley curved his lips, revealing a rare smile.
"Go."
"Let's have lunch together. I've asked David out. He is interested in your research field and hopes to cooperate with you," said Terrence.
"Alright."
Finley nodded and did not refuse.
Then, he got up and sent them to the door.
Terrence was meticulous and noticed the change in Alexa's mood.
"You worried about him?"
"Of course, I'm worried," answered she. "After all, if not for me, he wouldn't
have been injured."
"Other than worrying, is there nothing else?"
"What?"
Alexa was stunned and did not react for a while.
Realizing that Terrence was always jealous, she became serious.
"Don't think about it. I have no other feelings for him."
Terrence did not comment and held Alexa's hand.
"I'm not thinking about anything."
"I just treat him as an elder."
What was more, Finley was like a serious elder to her.
He was always cold. Other than medicine, he did not seem to be interested
in anything else.
"He said that you used to be his student."
"Yes." Alexa nodded, "But I can't remember. I have almost forgotten all
