Chapter 409 Not Chance Encounters
Right after his words, the nurse rushed out of the ward.
“Mr. Duran, Mrs. Duran wakes up and wants to see you.”
“Got it. I’ll be right there.”
Before Keyon went to see Giselle, his expression somehow softened a lot.
Alexa nodded and watched him go in.
Giselle was still very weak. But when she saw Keyon, her eyes instantly became red.
“Keyon, is the baby okay?”
She had just heard the doctor say that she was pregnant. She was so excited that she almost fainted.
But at the same time, what had happened made Giselle scared.
“The baby is alright.” Keyon wiped the tears on her cheeks with his fingers. “Don’t worry. I’ve got you the best doctors. I won’t let
anything happen to you.”
“Keyon, I’m still feeling a lot of anxiety.”
Giselle was very emotional, and she cried again.
“If something happens to the child, I dare not see you again.”
“No pressure,” Keyon said gently. “As long as you are alright.”
To get pregnant, Giselle tried many methods.
Keyon knew how hard it was to get this baby, so he could understand her pain.
But he never showed too much of his concern on his face, especially at a time like this. He must not show any panic in front of
Giselle.
“At that time, Isobel suddenly pushed me.” Giselle grabbed his collar and said pitifully. “I didn’t do anything to her. Why did she do
this…”
“I will investigate it thoroughly. Don’t worry.”
“She did not succeed this time. Will she do it again?”
“No,” Keyon patiently explained. “I definitely won’t let anyone hurt you again.”
Giselle was still not over her horror, so Keyon stayed to keep her company.
Alexa sat in the corridor for a while, and Terrence soon arrived.
“Alexa.”
He hurriedly took her hand.
Alexa yawned and asked casually.
“Have you found out everything?”
“I have already asked Edwin to investigate,” Terrence said concisely. “The thing happened in a CCTV blind spot. Isobel keeps denying
There is not enough evidence yet to prove that she is the culprit.
“Fortunately, Giselle is fine.”
Alexa breathed a sigh of relief and loosened up a little.
“Let’s go home.” Terrence put an arm around her waist and said, “Don’t waste your time on this matter. Keyon will take care of it.”
“Yes.”
Terrence had always been very concerned about Alexa. So, he naturally did not want her to busy herself with these things.
In fact, Alexa thought the same. It was not appropriate for her to interfere too much.
“It’s been a tough day for you,” Terrence said softly. “Go home and rest early. I’ve asked Yareli to bring Damarion home.”
“He didn’t act up this time?”
“No.” Terrence chuckled. “Damarion is a reasonable kid.”
“I forgot.” Alexa suddenly remembered. “You are better with kids than do.”
Speaking of which, she admitted that she was not as responsible as Terrence.
Terrence was busy enough with his work, but still, he had been learning parenting skills persistently.
Although there were professional nannies at home, Damarion spent most of the time with Terrence.
“This is what I should do.” Terrence leaned over and fastened her seat belt. “This is my duty as a father.”
Alexa liked his answer. She grabbed Terrence’s jaw and leaned forward to kiss it.
Terrence paused, and his ears quickly turned red.
With smiling eyes, Alexa then kissed the corner of his eyes willfully.
“What should I do with you?” she teased with ease. “I like you more and more.”
