Chapter 426 You Don't Like to Laugh
It was already late at night, and there were no other guests in the coffee shop.
Marin put her hand on the man's outstretched hand and smiled elegantly at him.
"Could I ask you to help me over please?"
"Sure."
The man nodded gently and carefully helped Marin over.
Marin adjusted the frame on the bridge of her nose and hid the smile in her eyes.
"Let me take a look at your ankle?"
The man knelt in front of her with one knee, his movements elegant and polite.
Marin rolled up her dress and stared at him intently.
Her eyes were so passionate that the man looked up at her.
"Why are you looking at me?"
"You look handsome." Marin tilted her head charmingly as she asked, "Is this your first time here for coffee?"
"Yes."
The man skillfully massaged her ankle and then carefully helped her tie the straps of her high heel.
Marin put on her lipstick and smiled.
"Then I'll treat you to a cup of coffee."
Then, she instructed the shop assistant.
"Make a cup of cappuccino for this gentleman. The same as my cup of coffee. Thank you."
The man quietly lowered his eyes to look at Marin, but before he could refuse, Marin paid and left.
"Enjoy your coffee and the night..." Marin said slightly, "Good night."
The man did not like sweet coffee like cappuccino. He wanted to order a cup of Americano.
However, when the shop assistant served the coffee, he also served a chocolate cake.
"Sir, please enjoy your coffee."
After a moment of silence, the man picked up the coffee and took a sip.
The mellow milk fragrance instantly lingered, and he was much warmer.
At this time, Marin had already gotten in her car and called Alexa with great interest.
"Pretty?" Marin said with interest, "I heard that your birthday banquet is approaching. Will I receive your invitation?"
"My invitation?" Alexa replied calmly, "You've set your eyes on me again?
Tell me, what do you want to do this time?"
"For my work needs."
"Huh?"
"I want to see someone, and you know that person."
"Someone by my side?"
"I guess so." Marin said ambiguously, "I'm a little interested in him."
Their conversation ended very quickly.
Alexa was confused, completely not understanding what Marin meant.
She thought about it for a while. Terrence took a shower and came into the room, wearing a sleeping robe.
"Why haven't you slept yet? Aren't you sleepy?" Terrence asked gently.
"I am waiting for you."
Alexa put down her phone and changed to a more comfortable position to lie down.
"It's so late. You don’t have to wait for me." Terrence covered the corner of her quilt for her. "But I will pay attention and won't work so late."
"I disrupted your plan today."
"You will always be first in my heart, so you did not disrupt me."
Terrence lay down beside her, and Alexa immediately burrowed into his arms out of instinct.
"It's a little cold."
Alexa's voice was muffled.
Terrence immediately held her hand to check her temperature.
"I'll turn on the heater."
1 No need." Alexa leaned against his chest and said, "I just want you to hold me. Don't let me go."
"I see."
Alexa had never been so clingy before.
But after she got pregnant, she would often feel insecure.
It was fine in the daytime, but she would feel inexplicably flustered at night.
Terrence spent most of his time with her, so she could suppress this feeling most of the time.
But tonight, for some reason, her mind was always in a mess.
