Edwin did not even dare to look Marin in the eye, afraid of being seen through.

"Yes, indeed."

He nodded and paid attention to the road ahead.

"There will be a party tomorrow night. If you have time, I would like to invite you as my plus-one."

Marin drawled with interest, but she did not immediately agree.
