Chapter 449 I'm Not a Pushover
Terrence stood coldly at the door.
He did not say a word, but people could feel strong pressure.
Nina was sitting at the head of the desk. She wasn't shocked at all. Instead, she smiled lightly.
"It's been a while. My good nephew."
"You arrived two days early."
"Yes. I couldn't wait to see you."
Nina slowly walked towards Terrence and sized Terrence up.
"I heard that your wife had just given birth to a girl." Nina said casually, "As your aunt, I should pay her a visit as soon as possible."
When she mentioned Alexa, Terrence's face sank.
"She doesn't like to see strangers."
"Strangers?" Nina lightly opened her red lips, but there was no suggestion of a smile. "But I'm a member of the Ramsey family, am I not?"
Nina and Terrence were at loggerheads.
After a short confrontation, Nina gracefully returned to her seat.
"The profit for this quarter looks really bad. And the stock price has dropped sharply."
Nina put on a posture of denouncing Terrence. She was targeting him with her words.
"The board has set up a special team as top management. It will take over your job. As for you, you will stay in a subsidiary for two years to research and study."
Nina narrowed her eyes sneeringly.
She smiled, "Of course, this is also the idea of the head of the family. He has high hopes for you. That's why he nurtures you so attentively."
Terrence knew that they were trying to seize power.
Since Nina dared to be so arrogant in front of him, she must have built connections with others secretly.
"Is there a problem?" Nina smiled, "I'm your aunt. I won't harm you."
Terrence's cold gaze swept over everyone present. There was no emotion in his eyes.
Terrence didn't shed the pretense of cordiality with Nina.
He thought, she should have done it when I was taking care of Alexa.
After all, most of the directors have been changed. They may be Nina's trusted aides.
After they arrived at the garage, Edwin still felt angry.
"Mr. Ramsey, what should we do? We can't let them act as they please."
But after a while, Edwin still didn't get any response.
Terrence adjusted his tie.
He said gently, "Let's go back."
Edwin was a little confused, but he did as Terrence ordered.
"Mr. Ramsey, someone is following us." Edwin was keenly aware of that.
"We have lost contact with two-thirds of our people."
"Nina is really merciless."
Terrence remained calm. He wasn't shocked at all.
"Just shake them off. This is the central area. They won't dare to make a move here."
Terrence had dealt with crises like this many times before.
Nina's method wasn't wise at all, or rather, she was just scaring Terrence.
The nanny had just finished feeding Verna when Terrence entered the room.
"Why are you back so early today?"
Alexa went forward to him. She habitually held Terrence and kissed him.
Terrence held her waist.
He said, "I was idle in the company, so I came back to keep you and the children company."
Alexa said, "Vernie hasn't gone to bed yet. Damar is practicing in the piano room."
"You must have been tired when I was away."
Terrence picked up Vernie carefully.
Then he said, "I'll go and check on Damar."
"OK."
