What Separates Me and You novel Chapter 285

Chapter 285 Get Lost

Annoyed, Sierra said, “The news is all over the internet. How can I not know about it? Don’t tell me you still don’t know.”

Seth paused briefly. He was actually clueless because he never paid attention to entertainment

news.

Sierra unlocked her phone and casually showed him the trending news. “Here, see for yourself.

Seth took the phone and glanced at it nonchalantly.

It turned out that someone had leaked a video of the incident at the City Hall online. Two men were engaged in a fight over a woman.

It was nothing unusual, but the fact that one of the main characters involved was Lewis made the video stand out.

Due to the previous rumors and speculation about Lewis’ relationship with Sierra, many people had assumed they were a couple.

However, Lewis was now seen to be involved in a fight with another man over a woman. As the buzz went on, Quintin’s identity was exposed.

He was the second son of Heartwood Group.

People were always interested in high-profile scandals, and the higher the status of those. involved, the more thrilling it became.

It was unbelievable that big shots like Lewis and Quintin would fight over a woman. This incident exceeded everyone’s expectations and generated significant buzz among the netizens.

The netizens were now curious about this woman’s identity. They wondered how she could make these two outstanding individuals fight so fiercely for her.

Moreover, based on the photos, it seemed like Lewis had lost the fight.

No doubt, Sierra was affected by the incident. People were demanding an explanation from her about what had happened.

Upon learning the news, Sierra immediately tried to call Lewis but couldn’t get through. Helpless, she had no choice but to come here.

Seth finished reading and handed the phone back to her. He chuckled without saying a word.

Sierra complained, “Now you see? This guy didn’t even bother to handle this matter. My previous scandal had just died down, and now he stirs up another one. It’s really…

”

Seth smiled and remarked, “He’s preoccupied with his upcoming business trip to Hardington.

Naturally, he won’t bother with such matters.”

In fact, this news was of little concern to Lewis. Whether he dealt with it or not, it had no impact on him.

After all, he didn’t care about his reputation.

Sierra was slightly stunned. “He mentioned going on a business trip, and it is to Hardington?”

“Why? Didn’t he tell you?”

Sierra scoffed, “Of course not! If he did, would I be asking you?”

She thought of something and asked, “Who else is going besides you two?”

Seth frowned and said, “Miss Woods, you should ask him yourself.”

Sierra looked at him suspiciously. Although Seth didn’t speak, she had a hunch.

As the two were talking, Lewis had already come downstairs. Treating Seth like his family, Lewis dressed casually. He wore only a silver robe, leaving his chest exposed.

However, he had a belt tied around his waist, so it wasn’t too revealing.

Upon seeing this, Sierra immediately approached him and said, “Lewis, you…”

Yet as she got closer, Sierra saw faint scratch marks on his shoulders and chest, clearly caused by a woman’s nails.

It wasn’t hard to imagine how those marks came about.

At that moment, Sierra’s jealousy reached its peak. She could hear her nails creaking as she clenched them tightly. Although she tried to suppress her emotions, her slightly distorted features were still visible.

“Why are you here?” Lewis glanced at her and walked past her to the coffee table to grab a cigarette. He sat on the sofa and lit it.

Sierra caught up to him. She stood beside him and asked, “Have you seen the news?”

“No, I’m not interested,” Lewis replied.

Sierra retrieved her phone and handed it to him, saying, “You’re not interested in this either?”

Devoid of any emotions, Lewis only glanced at it casually. He took a drag of his cigarette and said indifferently, “Why should I be interested?”

“You…”

After a brief pause, Sierra plopped beside him, saying, “At least do something about it. Those idle people keep scheming against me every day.”

“Don’t look at it if you don’t like it.”

Sierra’s lips twitched. Judging from Lewis’ attitude, she knew he had no intention of dealing with this matter.

Hence, she continued to ask, “Is everything in that news true? Did that mute really marry Quintin?”

Lewis paused in his actions. He turned his head slightly and stared at Sierra intently.

Sierra hesitated, feeling a tingling sensation on her scalp from his dark and profound gaze.

However, she gathered her courage and pressed on, “It seems to be true. So why did you let her stay here? She’s someone else’s wife now.”

“Even though you don’t care about this news, if you keep someone else’s wife in your own house…”

“Sierra.” Lewis interrupted her. “Didn’t I tell you not to come here unless there’s something important?”

Sierra’s words came to a halt in her mouth.

She stared blankly at Lewis. She felt a surge of grievances building up in her heart, and her eyes reddened.

He had risked his life to save her before. She had seen him disregard his own life for her sake. Sierra thought she held an irreplaceable position in his heart.

Yet now he was being so cold to her. What did he mean?

The more Sierra thought about it, the more aggrieved she felt. Tears streamed uncontrollably down her face. Sighing, Lewis extinguished the cigarette in the ashtray and softened his tone, “Alright, go home first. I will handle this matter.”

His concession reignited a glimmer of hope in Sierra’s wounded heart. She tightly embraced Lewis’ arm and sobbed. “Then, can you send Josephine away?”
