When Hazel was cooking at noon, she received a video call from Hayden.
Hazel didn’t dare not accept her brother’s video call.
She specially turned off the fire in the kitchen, went to the balcony to pick up the video call.
She took the phone, adjusted the light, and smiled sweetly at the camera: “Brother, how is your wedding preparations with Sister Joanna going?”
Hayden: “It went well. Where are you?”
Hazel: “At Lucas’s house.”
Hayden frowned: “Why are you at his house? Is he there? Let me see him.”
Hazel: “He’s not here! He’s gone to work.”
“Since he’s not here, what are you doing at his house?” Hayden felt that this was not good.
Hazel: “I…I want to cook for myself, so I came to his house and lent him the kitchen.”
Hayden: “Can you cook?”
Hazel: “Hey, it’s not very tasty.”
Hayden: “Are you cooking for him?”
Hazel: “Brother, I’m bored when I’m idle! It’s time to practice my cooking skills. When I get home, I’ll cook for you.”
Hayden: “Do you know that men won’t cherish you if you’re like this?”
Hazel: “My sister told me, and Aaron also told me, I know what I’m doing…Brother, don’t worry about me. I’ll go back right away, and I probably won’t come here in the future gone.”
Only then did Hayden let out a sigh of relief: “Be careful when cooking. If you can’t do it, you can order takeaway. Why do you cook it yourself? Why do you work so hard?”
Hazel: “Brother, I understand.”
Hayden: “Come back tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?”
Hazel: “The day after tomorrow! I should go shopping tomorrow and buy gifts for you.”
Hayden: “Okay. Take Aaron with you when you go shopping.”
Hazel: “Yes.”
After hanging up the video call, the smile on Hazel’s face disappeared.
