Josephine could only pretend Yvan wasn't there and quickly made her way to the restaurant where she was supposed to meet with Mason.
Mason was already waiting for her. The moment he saw her walk in, he stood up and waved. But when he noticed Yvan following behind, a look of confusion crossed his face.
He didn't understand why Yvan was with Josephine. His gaze toward Yvan was full of hostility. After all, that man was the reason Josephine left the film industry.
If it weren't for him, she wouldn't have returned to the country, met Zayn, and agreed to a contractual marriage.
Now that the contract marriage was finally over, she was ready to start fresh. So, why was this guy back to pester her?
Josephine walked over and took a seat across from Mason, while Yvan, looking completely at ease, sat at the table next to theirs.
Mason was even more perplexed. Yvan had followed Josephine here, yet he wasn't even sitting with her?
"Ms. Dunn…"
Josephine knew exactly what Mason was thinking, but she had no way of explaining Yvan's ridiculous behavior. She could only say, "Ignore him. Pretend he doesn't exist."
Mason nodded in confusion.
Fortunately, he had dealt with Yvan before and knew he acted unpredictably. Instead of dwelling on it, he simply picked up the menu and handed it to Josephine.
"I've been here twice before. The food is mostly on the sweet and sour side. You'll probably like it." With that, he called the waiter over to order.
Sure enough, Josephine enjoyed the food. It was rare for her to have that much of an appetite, so she ordered a few extra dishes. Once she was done, she handed the menu back to the waiter.
As the waiter turned to leave, he glanced at Yvan and asked, "Sir, have you decided on your order?"
