On the way back, Josephine felt apologetic. "I'm sorry that you have to accompany me at such a late hour, George. I won't be going out tomorrow morning.
"You can take that time to rest. You'll only have to wait for my call at noon."
At the same time, she took it upon herself to give Gloria a call. She told her to just leave the door unlocked and go to sleep. She would lock everything up.
Seeing how Josephine was so considerate of her staff, George felt rather embarrassed instead.
Gloria had never called him. He just didn't want her to be alone with Zayn for too long.
After all, he had positioned himself as Ethan's wingman.
"It's no trouble at all, Ms. Dunn. I'm not the least bit tired. I don't drive much.
"I have a lot of free time. This hardly counts as work."
He hesitated before asking another question.
"I don't understand why you're still giving Zayn your attention after how badly he has treated you. The more attention you pay to him, the more entitled he'll get!"
Josephine gave him a faint smile, not knowing what to say.
Zayn was in the wrong. However, she still had some lingering affection for him.
Moreover, he had gotten into an accident in which she'd had a small part. That was why she'd felt bad and gotten him some food.
Everything would return to normal once he got discharged.
The next afternoon, Josephine came to where the crew was and watched the audition video of the elderly actor with the three assistant directors.
In the end, she selected six actors and arranged for the interview the next day.
It was completely dark when they were done with work. Mason said he found a particularly good restaurant and took Josephine as well as the three assistant directors there.
