“No,” Caden glanced around, not feeling hungry. 

Beatrice muttered, “Why bother going there when it’s so precious?”

Caden took out a cigarette, lit it with one hand, and slightly tilted his head to ignite it. Even though he was sitting in a crude shed, his posture still exuded elegance. 

Through the hazy mist, he half–closed his eyes and said, “Beatrice, I could hear it.” 

Beatrice pursed her lips, but luckily her boss was quick to notice and she grabbed her fork, lowering her head to eat. 

The two of them didn’t speak anymore, and Caden just watched her quietly as she ate. 

Beatrice could feel his different gaze, but she couldn’t understand it. 

For a long time, Caden flicked the cigarette butt into the ashtray and whispered, “Don’t go out of the hotel alone.” Thinking about being followed just now, Beatrice felt that what he said was right, so she nodded in agreement. 

When I raised my hand to look for a tissue, I realized that there was only a packaging bag left. 

But her mouth and chin were both covered in oil, and she was about to get up to ask the boss for a tissue when Caden pulled her hand towards 

him. 

He took out a pack of tissues from his pocket, which had cartoon patterns on them. 

Without waiting for Beatrice to react, he had already taken a tissue and wiped her lips. The tingling sensation left her stunned. 

She didn’t come to her senses and grab the tissue to wipe her tears until the people around her were watching. 

After a few seconds of silence, she tried to change the subject:“Uncle Caden, I didn’t expect you to be so girly, even the tissues are fancy.” 

Caden glanced, “Keith’s.” 

Beatrice was taken aback and looked up to realize that there was a short sleeve on Caden’s coat, clearly not his own clothes. 

She wondered, “Where is Keith?” 

Caden thought for a moment, “Guarded.” 

Hmm? 

Beatrice was worried about encountering the three men who were following her, so she followed Caden back to the hotel after finishing her 

meal. 

When Caden closed the door and went back to his room, he raised his hand and leaned against the door. 

“Beatrice, it was very late.” 

“Yes, Uncle Caden, goodnight, goodbye,” Beatrice said, forcefully closing the door but not pushing it.
