Chapter 449 Tighten Your Belt
Nancy was speechless.
She didn’t speak or move, freezing on the spot.
Keith walked towards Braden and looked at the sweet couple. A serious and deep
expression showed on his handsome face. It was rare. He said with a sigh, “Braden,
good for you! You are back together while I was on vacation. Skills are nothing
compared to talent. You are indeed a talent!”
Braden was in deep love. It seemed that he was possessed by Venus. He was not as
cold and unreasonable as he used to be but had an aura of love and peace.
“Don’t tease me. I’m sincere enough. That’s why Shirley came back to me. Remember
that sincerity is a killing move in a relationship!”
After he finished speaking, Braden hugged him with one arm and whispered, “Nancy
is a good girl with integrity and honesty. She is much better than Alice. Grasp your
opportunity. Don’t let me lose face in front of my wife.”
Keith raised his eyebrows and suddenly came to a realization. “This is your real
intention, right?”
“Are you not satisfied?”
Braden frowned slightly and said in a dignified manner, “My wife is such a wonderful
girl. Thus, her best friend must be great. Don’t tell me that you dislike her?”
“It’s not that I dislike her. It’s just that I’m surprised by how henpecked you are. I’m
known as the No.1 simp in Seatie City. But you totally beat me.”
Keith was amused by his henpecked friend.
He couldn’t help but look at Shirley with admiration and said with a halfsmile, “Shirley,
no one could resist your charm. You are so attractive…”
“Thank you. Don’t flatter me. I haven’t seen the world. Thus, I fell into Braden’s trick.
Now we have two kids. Therefore, just make do with the marriage!”
Shirley waved her hand. Although she looked reluctant, the smile and gentleness in
her eyes could not be hidden.
“Well, since then, why don’t you make do with me?”
The corners of Keith’s mouth curled into a cynical smile. His charming eyes
smoldered. He said in an ambiguous tone, “Four years ago, I made a bet with Braden.
You were almost my girlfriend.”
“Oh?”
Shirley became quite curious. She asked, “What bet did you make? Tell me.”
Braden had a cold expression on his face as he warned Keith in a bad mood, “Don’t
talk about nonsense over and over again. Don’t forget that this is your sister-in-law.”
“Pfft. Braden, don’t be so nervous. I’m not Karen. I won’t crave a friend’s wife. I’m just
a little regretful…”
Keith’s smile was unrestrained, but there was a deep sadness in his eyes. “Four years
ago, when you disappeared, I made a bet with Braden. If I had found you before him, I
would have let go of our brotherhood and boldly pursued you. I thought that I had
found you. However, I had gotten myself in trouble.
“I often asked myself how good it would be if you were the one I found in the
underground casino at Sutor Wharf!”
“Eh…”
