Summer had been searching high and low for his mom but couldn’t find her anywhere. Sacting the accortunity when his uncle was distracted, he slipped out unnoticed. 

Relying on his memory he went to the villa Vincent had taken him and his mom to, but the security guard wouldnt let him in With no other options, he headed to find Rhett.

The security guard couldn’t help but laugh at Summer’s toy, and he pleaded softly. “Boss, I’ll carry the kid out now. He’s just little. Let’s not be too harsh on him.”

If Mr. Fitzgerald sees this, you can kiss your job goodbye,” the manager said angrily, muttering under his breath, “What’s with people these days, even coming here to find a dad. Summer hugged his toy his eyes welling up, and turned to leave.

“Summer?” As Rhett stepped out of the elevator, the sight of Summer’s downcast silhouette made an unexpected knot form in his chest. 

Summer’s eyes were red, and he looked back at Rhett, his head drooping with sadness. 

“Mr. Fitzgerald…” The security guard was so scared that he quickly stepped aside. 

The receptionist and the manager were also taken aback. Mr. Fitzgerald actually knew this 

kid. 

“Where’s your mom?” Rhett glanced around, surprised to see Summer all alone. 

“Dad. 

“The bad guys took her. Dad, go to save her with me,” Summer said, offering his Superman toy to Rhett. He really liked Rhett, which was why he was giving Rhett his treasured toy. fight monsters to protect Mom. 

York, with a look of disdain, wanted to chuck the toy away. It was so dirty, clearly made from old clothes. And Mr. Fitzgerald was a neat freak.

Rhett paused for a moment, seeing how much the kid liked the doll. 

“Let’s go, I’ll take you to find your mom.” Rhett picked up Summer with one arm and headed 

out. 

York’s jaw nearly hit the floor in shock. This was all wrong. If Mr. Fitzgerald had a soft spot for Kristin, it was because Kristin was useful. But this little squirt… Didn’t Mr. Fitzgerald hate kids the most? 

Miss Eve’s kid would burst into tears at the sight of Mr. Fitzgerald.
