Chapter 41
Zachary hadn’t arrived home yet. But he received many phone calls about Annie.
It was because of Annie at first.
However, he had a feeling that Charlotte was part of this later. The narrow space in the car was full of smoke.
He held a cigarette and made a phone call to Charlotte, looking distracted.
Soon, he got through. Charlotte’s peaceful and light voice sounded. “Hello?”
From her tone, Zachary could tell that she was in a good mood.
“Is there anything that makes you happy?” His black and deep eyes shone with coldness.
Charlotte’s tone changed after she found that it was Zachary. “Yes!”
He thought, “What a bad woman! She is so happy about causing trouble!”
“Tell me what it is!” Zachary sounded sullen.
Because of Charlotte, the news had gone viral.
He thought, “You’d better tell me Annie was not taken to my mother because of
you.”
Charlotte noticed his cold tone, but she didn’t care. “Are you sure you want to
know that?”
“Charlotte, what did you do in my house today?”
Hearing Zachary’s angry questioning on the phone, Charlotte put on a happy
smile.
She knew why he was angry.
So she said in a lighter voice, “Complained to your mother! Didn’t you know it?”
She realized that Zachary called her because Mary was angry.
Three years ago…
Zachary and Annie cornered Charlotte, who was still pregnant. The shocking news was not a big deal in her revenge.

Chapter 41
Charlotte didn’t want to do it at first.
But Annie kept messing up with her. If Charlotte didn’t teach her a lesson, she may mistake that everyone would be nice to her like Zachary
“The news that Crown International would hold an exposition for Annie just spread hours ago! You made things worse! Charlotte, just tell me what you want. from me! Don’t play tricks!”
Zachary hated schemes and tricks the most.
Under the circumstances, he even suspected that she played tricks on him by pretending to be pitiful and compliant after marrying him.
Otherwise, his grandfather would not have forced him to marry her.
He could take care of Charlotte in many other ways. Why did his grandfather insist that he should marry her?
Charlotte was a bit surprised by Zachary’s ridiculous words. “Is he crazy?” she thought.
She said. “Mr. Sullivan, what do you think I want?”
Zachary’s eyes darkened.
She said. “You’d better check on her as soon as possible. Or she may be sick in anger again. By the way, I must remind you, it was me who divorced you!”
Charlotte!”
Charlotte snorted and hung up the phone directly.
Zachary’s head ached in distraction.
He thought, “She is going too far!”
Leo, who was driving, could feel the oppressive atmosphere in the car. He held hist breath, so nervous that he almost ran a red light!
“Shit!” Zachary gnashed his teeth.
He was too angry to ask Charlotte about what she had said to his mother.
Now there was a noisy dispute. And his family was mad.
When Zachary arrived home, Mark Dylan, who worked for his grandfather, was

waiting outside the house.
Zachary could feel a strange atmosphere.
Then he heard the sounds of slaps in the house. In the hot summer though, the house was full of suffocating coldness.
Zachary’s face darkened. He walked to the house.
However, Mark said, “Mr. Zachary Sullivan, Mr. Sullivan feels sorry that he failed. to keep his promise to Mrs. Moore.”
Zachary paused.
He looked at Mark with sharp eyes.
In the face of his cold stare, Mark just lowered his head slightly. Mark just wanted. to help him by telling Zachary why his grandfather was angry.
Zachary withdrew his stare from Mark and said nothing before entering the gate.
In the front yard.
Annie was on the ground in the middle of the yard. Mary sat before her with a dominant vibe.
Zachary’s face became gloomier.
“Zach.” Hearing his footsteps, Annie looked back with a grievance. Tears blurred her eyes.
Mary found that Zachary was back.
Her eyes became sharper.
Zachary pulled Annie up from the ground and looked at his mother. “What are you doing?”
Mary saw that Zachary held Annie in his arms.
“Did you get divorced from Charlotte?” Mary didn’t answer his question but asked a sharp question.
Zachary didn’t know what to say.
Annie stood with Zachary, looking at him subconsciously when Mary asked the
question.

Silence fell upon the scene.
Since Zachary remained silent, Mary said in a colder tone. “You didn’t get divorced?”
Annie’s fare turned pale.
Their conflict was so great! But they hadn’t gotten divorced yet! Annie wondered why Zachary hesitated.
Zachary said, “Why did you take her here?”
He didn’t answer Mary’s question either.
The atmosphere was intense in the front yard.
