Chapter 342 No Turning Back
Of course Maddox had no objections. He knew Johnathan didn’t trust him right now. But Mateo couldn’t help speaking up. “Maddox didn’t want this either. You-”
Before he could finish, Johnathan slammed his fist into the wall.
“I said bring them in!” he growled, every word ice–cold.
It was as if he couldn’t feel the pain. His hand was covered in blood.
Quinn let out a small, startled gasp. She looked like she wanted to say something, but Johnathan shot her a cold glare, and she. didn’t dare utter a word.
“Calm down, Johnathan!”
Stone and Draven watched him nervously, afraid he might suddenly lash out at Maddox..
Johnathan didn’t say a word. He turned and pushed the door open, walking back inside.
Draven sighed and turned to Maddox. “You know how he is. Don’t let it get to you.”
“How could I?”
Maddox shook his head. “This really was my mistake.”
Whether it was the guests or the staff–they were all his responsibility. For something like this to happen, he couldn’t shirk the blame
He almost wished Johnathan had hit him..
If taking a beating could fix this, he would’ve welcomed it.
Maddox had already guessed that Johnathan would want to interrogate the three himself, so he’d made arrangements. Less than half an hour later, they were brought to the hospital.
This time, Stone was the one who went in to call Johnathan..
“They’re here. You want to go see them?”
Johnathan didn’t move. He just sat there, still keeping watch over Sierra.
Stone frowned. “You want to do this in the hospital room?”
“I don’t think Sierra would want that.”
Finally, Johnathan reacted. He turned to look at Stone, a rare flicker of confusion in his eyes.
“I’m afraid that if I leave, something will happen to her again.”

Stone had been Johnathan’s brother–in–arms for years, but he’d never seen him like this. His heart sank.
“If you trust me, I’ll stay here with her.”
“Unless I die, no one will lay a finger on Sierra.”
Draven, standing just outside, added, “Count me in. I may not know as much about these drugs as you and Sierra, but I know more than most. If anyone tries to tamper with her meds, they won’t get away with it.”

Back in the room, Stone and Draven exchanged a glance. Draven muttered, “Someone might not leave that room alive tonight.”
Stone pressed his lips together. “What I want to know is–who was it?”
Draven’s expression turned grim. “Please don’t let it have anything to do with the Wynn family.”
Maddox had investigated all the guests–but he hadn’t looked into the Treno family.
By then. Johnathan had already come face to face with the three suspects. Maddox had arranged for a large, soundproof vehicle, making sure no one outside could hear a thing.
Instead of questioning them separately, Johnathan had them all brought in together.
