"Gilbert..." Sherilyn pressed against his shoulder, shaking her head in resistance. "You need to stop!"
"Why?"
Gilbert's voice was husky, with a rising intonation, "You want me too, don't you?"
She was in his arms, he could feel it.
He gently pecked at her soft cheeks, "Follow your heart, no need to hold back, we're already husband and wife..."
His eyes shimmered with a faint blue glow, "We haven't been intimate in so long, it's not healthy."
"You..."
Sherilyn blushed at his words.
In a low voice, she said, "It's not a good time!"
"Huh?"
Gilbert paused, looking at her questioningly. "Not a good time? You mean 'that time of the month'? Is it these days?"
"Yeah."
Sherilyn nodded, her face turning even redder.
"You're not kidding?" Gilbert was persistent. "Let me see..."
"Gilbert!"
Sherilyn panicked, realizing what he was about to do, trying to grab his arm, but it was too late.
Gilbert's hand moved downward...
And then, his expression froze.
He bowed his head, burying it in her neck, filled with regret. She hadn't lied to him...
After a while, he muttered, "This is torture..."
Then, he let her go and sprang up from the bed, rushing into the bathroom. "I need a cold shower!"
From the bathroom, the sound of running water echoed.
Sherilyn covered her face, mortified...
…
After Gilbert had taken his shower and came downstairs, Sherilyn was already in the dining room.
She had visited his room earlier to freshen up.
Her pretty face was tense. Upon hearing him approach, she didn't even glance his way, not offering him the slightest bit of attention.
She simply said coldly, "Let's eat, and after dinner, take your medication."
